  1. Just an update: I had open carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand a month ago tomorrow. Thus far it hasn't been as terrible as I expected it to be. The surgery wasn't too terrible and the "pain" wasn't bad. I only took about 12 of the pain killers and was finished with them by the third day. The recovery thus far has been very odd. There are days that it is very swollen and feels bloated, but mostly it seems alright. At this point I can type easily with no issues. I can hold and write with a pen but it will start to get sore after a few lines. Recently I found that I can throw a dart, which is something that I was upset about not being able to do. Occasionally, it will spasm and have some minor pain. If I apply any type of bending of my wrist and pushing it is a more significant pain. The thought of riding is truly laughable. The decrease in my grip strength and stamina are severely depreciated. The doctor said don't expect to hold a gallon of milk by December. I can hold it now...I just can't move my wrist while doing it. The numbness, which was the major reason aside from the reduced strength issues, was why I decided to have the surgery. To this point my index finger is completely alleviated of the tingling sensation which has been great. My thumb goes through spells of being numb and tingling, to bloated feeling, to actually feeling like a "normal" digit. I haven't had any referral to OT as of yet. My doctor seems pleased with my progression thus far. I have seen our OT at work a few times to ask questions and get some exercises to try. Overall, I'm satisfied with my decision at this point. If it changes I'll certainly voice that. Again, it hasn't been terribly painful and a month into it I'm able to do most things without too much issues. Just being cognizant of it and making good choices. Cheers

  2. Ridgeline drives like a car, 4 door, gets 20mpg, awd, has a bed, has a storage compartment under the bed, roomy back seat area, and can be had for a decent price.

  4. Handled. Was able to convince those who make decisions to change the minds of those who shouldn't. It was a politically risky strategy, but worked.

  5. You guys realize that BK is still going to pay the full 40% rate on all income generated from US operations. These tax inversions are not about getting out of that tax bill, it's impossible. What they are about is paying the local tax rates on worldwide income. US is the only country I know of that demands it's corporations pay the US rate on global income. It's utterly foolish because it raises only a pittance and encourages our corps to move headquarters. And the whole sick game is made possible by the social justice warriors like you guys in this thead with zero command over the actual facts or economics of tax policy. Pay a fair share, derp!

  6. I was a machine gunner in the USMC. The first time we live fired a full auto weapon it was with a single round to get familiar with it's operation. Then 2 & 3 round bursts.

  7. Similar with my kiddo. Introduced her to an airsoft when she was 7 and used only on range with eye protection and one pellet loaded at a time, then the same with a BB gun at 8, then a .22 at 9, then 9mm and 12g chambered with single rounds at a time at 15. No full-autos. She has a healthy respect for guns and knows to evaluate range partners and instructors suspiciously. I've made a point to show her bullet holes in stall dividers as proof that carelessness can happen any time, and can be fatal.

  8. Welcome. Good tip for new rider on new (used) bike, go through the bike with a fine tooth comb. I see you noticed shitty brake response, good start. Have to be able to depend on your machine and that means it depends on you to keep it that way.

  9. A reasonable person looks at those pictures and can see 2 Million. After I heard about the disabling of the cameras I have to assume 4 Million were there last year, especially since apparently 3.9 Million people were erased from the photos bye Eric Holder. That 4 million number must be low due to the camera shut off limit of 1 million due to the government/Obama hatred of motorcycles. Can we expect 6 million this year or 8 Million? When will the government shut off the cameras this year?

  10. Did your traffic cameras catch these pictures? I did, (most) with my own camera, when I was there. And apparently someone who lives there w a first hand experience concurs. But go ahead and believe the MSM. and your traffic cameras that were reportedly shut down for periods during this event. "I miss America"

  12. Why? You're not going anywhere with your bike. Your wife has your bike keys locked up with your nuts.
