  1. hey everyone. My name is Jeff and I recently moved to Columbus from Greenville, SC. I have lived in the south my entire life (except for stint in CA)so this might be a rude awakening if ya'll get a lot of snow here! I'm just discovering the forum side of the internet and all the helpful information that's available...I was really geeked to find local racers and car enthusiasts. This forum should be a good fit since I try to spend all my free time with my girls (cars). I have always loved corvettes since I was a little kid so when I finally had the money saved, I had to get a Z06. here she is the day I bought her: http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo115/tasteslikeKevinBacon/Zdealer1.jpg I've also been working on another "project" - 1973 stingray: http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo115/tasteslikeKevinBacon/side2.jpg http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo115/tasteslikeKevinBacon/side1.jpg http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo115/tasteslikeKevinBacon/C5_C3.jpg http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo115/tasteslikeKevinBacon/eng6.jpg Thanks! -Jeff

  2. Hello everyone. Heres my whip...for now. I would say it is a work in progress but that is no longer true. I have a few suspension parts sitting in the garage I will put on this winter or in the early spring but I have drawn the line for now. I can't justify any further upgrades to this car and would rather put my money toward a new Stang or a Classic project I can hand over to my son when he is ready ( 6 years old atm ). I have a passion for turning wrenches and go fast goodies. I love to work on cars, it doesent matter if it's a Chevy, Datsun or anything in between. I am the type guy that would rather be laying on the cold garage floor in the winter busting his knuckles making sure everything is torqued to spec than doing just about anything else. I am mostly self taught on auto repairs and blah blah...no formal training... just grab the tools and get to work. I tried to join here a few months back because I am always wondering where the people like me are in this town, but the site was declining any new members for the time being. Glad I finally made the cut and I look forward to learning from and socializing with all of you. Enough with the Blah blah... here are the specs on my current ride. 02 Jetta 1.8T ATP T25 Exhaust Manifold Garrett GT28R ( running 20-21psi on 93 ) ATP 3" V Band DP Catless 3" exhaust Lucas 440cc injectors MSD Inline Fuel Pump 2.75" VR6 MAF Housing Autometer Column Pod with Boost Guage CAI Turbo XS Single Stage Upsolute 440cc Big Turbo File ECS Adj. My previous was a 93 Probe GT with Mazda KLZE swap.. most bolt ons, and a mild shot of juice. While I fare decent at putting them together I flat out suck at driving... lol..let the truth be known. Just lack of track visits I suppose and most of the time I cruise with my son at which point I have a strict speed limit policy so no light to light runs with my co pilot in the car. I must say though I have been really thirsty to hit the track up though ( never been with th Jetta ) and I see there is an event comming up...hmmmm. I don't have any good pics ( because I am lazy ) but here are some snaps to show I am not completely full of ish.... just mostly. My order from ECS should arrive today so maybe I'll slap the struts and springs on also... god it looks crazy high in those pics..geesh.

  7. Here's my semi-pet Mantis. It's lived in the same place in my yard for quite some time. I visit her all the time. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/IMG_1320.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/IMG_1321.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/IMG_1322.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/IMG_1323.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/IMG_1324.jpg http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/IMG_1325.jpg Here's the bonus pic of a skunk at my house a few days ago. This was about 3am. Only decent pic I could get due to no light everywhere else. At one point, I actually had to run away from it for a short ways when it charged me. They're always fun as long as you're careful. http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/IMG_1317.jpg

  10. typically on night pics I dont rely on the flash of the camera. I try to position in a spot that has adequate lighting, typically from overhead. So I would say pick your spots better and your photos will turn out much better.
