  2. That would be a great way to think about growing the championship now, in the future though, you are going to have to look at going with a Moto2/3 setup otherwise your going to see just another great championship like the BSB. Which I am sure is what DORNA does not want. Big picture has to look like the Spanish CEV, there's at least one reporter in every press conference asking why there are no more Americans and why the Spanish and Italians seem to be ruling the Motogp championships. Simple answer, the CEV. It offers every opportunity in the world for young riders to excel in the sport and it rewards young talented riders. This is what DORNA wants and why I believe they got involved with an American road racing series. If the riders get rewarded so will they, financialy of course. Secondly, Moto2 and Moto3 machines are actually affordable. More affordable than most think. You can pick up a used Moto2 bike for anywhere between $60,000 and $90,000 that may even be cheaper now than I last checked now that the CEV series has flooded the market. And Moto3 bikes are about half of that. And if you follow both series you know that it is very rare that anyone gets away in those races. The racing is always close, offering an opportunity for anyone to run at the front.

  4. So I am moving from Colorado Springs to the Columbus (Dublin/Muirfield) are in about 3 weeks. My in-laws are from there and the wife wants to move back. Ive visited a few times and even got married there, like it a lot so far and am looking forward to the move. Ive done my fair share of racing here in the Springs (track and street). I currently own a 99 Trans Am, pretty well built caged, 12 bolt, T56 makes about 530rwhp/505rwtq N/A and 675rwhp/775rwtq on a 150 shot through a plate. Looking forward to meeting some new people in my soon to be new home. Thanks, Brandon

  6. I'm just pointing out the need for a balance. I understand and acknowledge that it's unwise to trust police completely and without question, but I think you have to also weigh that distrust against the potential consequences of not cooperating. Police need information to do their jobs. They get frustrated when that information is withheld. I'm not suggesting that people incriminate themselves, I'm suggesting that they avoid illegal activity, and thus not have as many reasons to be concerned about speaking truthfully to law enforcement. This bozo would have been better off keeping his mouth shut. Instead he fabricated a story that paints himself as a hero. He's been charged with falsification and obstruction, NOT the underlying offense(s) he was trying to cover up. At least not yet. Simply shutting up might have made him a suspect, but if the police could prove what happened, I doubt they'd only be charging him for the lies.

  10. I highly recommend doing it yourself. I've never taking a bike in for an oil change at a dealer, but I do occasionally get lazy and drop my cars off. Without fail they will over-tighten the drain bolt and overfill the car with oil.

  12. You may want to talk with a car wash builder. That is probably the most common application for floor heat. There is a particular kind of tubing that will essentially last the life of the concrete. If you use something else it will eventually leak. A leaky floor heat system is cost prohibitive to try to diagnose or repair. Good luck finding the leak without a thermal imager. Also, use glycol, not water. Not all boilers are rated for glycol. Water freezing will split the tubing and my even crack the concrete. If you just want to heat a specific area, just get an electric heated matt.

  13. FWIW, the car is so bad that there is no way that the seller wasn't intentionally hiding stuff, so if you wanted to take legal action there might be something to stand on. However, financially it is absolutely not worth it. you paid for a lesson in what not to do in buying a project car. Ebay in general is a red flag, paying with a check is a red flag, pictures that look like they were taken with a potato instead of a camera is a red flag. so rather than dwell on what's happened....let's focus on the future. 1) Leave the seller negative feedback. It doesn't do much but it does something 2) how much did you pay for this wreck? If it wasn't a lot might I suggest that you look into one of the dynacorn Repop bodies. $13,500 and the car is all brand new sheet-metal ready to paint. You just weld the section that had the vin tag and data plate on to the new car and then you can cut up the old shell and sell the metal to some other restorer. Just looking at whats there and what's probably still hidden I think you'll be cheaper in the long run, unless there is a body guy on here willing to give someone the "bro price" on building a unibody car up from the vin tags. http://www.dynacornclassicbodies.com/gm_models2.html 3) you can sell it and recoup some of the losses. There is no such thing as a "cheap" first gen F body project anymore and while you probably won't get your money back for it you'll get something. Personally I would give you $500 for it (please don't take that as an insult) but that is what it is worth to me to cut up and resell as parts, someone with real stars in their eyes and basic working knowledge of a mig welder might give you a lot more. hey Farkas, while I agree with most of what you say there are ways to be less of a dick about it. And for the record this is still a scam - the seller knew this car had these issues and was fishing for a buyer who wasn't going to look to close. That's why it was on ebay in the first place, that is why the pics were taken the way they were, it was all setup to hide what is so glaringly obviously a wreck that if on the off chance that the seller really was ignorant then they are also probably mentally handicapped. These kind of actions are what separate good guys from scumbags, and this seller is a scumbag. You know what we (society) call people who willfully look for people to exploit? Scam Artists.
