The guy in New York was only getting arrested for illegally selling cigarettes. He was a big man and made the decision to resist arrest and escalate the situation nothing good will ever come from that. What were the cops suppose to do just say never mind and walk away. They were only trying to get him under control so they could take him in. In any situation were a cop is dealing with criminals they can never back down or lose it is not an option. If you choose to resist arrest and escalate things it is on you. It is a shame he died over an f-ing cigarette but he made that choice. Cops have the worst job in this country they have to deal with scum everyday even good citizens treat them like shit. Now these asshats in Washington are trying to make it impossible for them to do their jobs and give criminals like Brown the upper hand.

There is no claim of racism in DOJ report on the Cleveland Police Department. The US Attorney that headed this investigation was born and raised in Cleveland. He is a distinguished civil rights trial lawyer, deputy chief and now NE Ohio US Attorney. He drove this investigation, not Obama or Holder. He is white. You are connecting dots that do not exist in the case of Cleveland. This is straight up a Cleveland Police Department out of control. You have to be up here to see it, it isn't just them shooting black people. They take guns from licensed CHL holders that get pulled over for speeding and keep them and make you go to court to get them back. Or they take them apart and put them in a bag and give them back to you and tell you that you can't put it back together. Both in clear violation of the law. The CPD has long done whatever the hell it wants to, seriously man, they are out of control. Keep in mind I am an old conservative law and order white guy, I don't line up against the cops lightly. They are shit up here, pure unadulterated shit.

I'm not gonna say that indictment in either the NY chokehold case or the Cleveland shooting case was justified or unjustified since I lack facts, but…. ….did you ever stop and consider that the DOJ is just as corrupt, just as politically motivated, and just as much of a tool as most of the prosecutorial departments that you're railing against? Our nation is suffering from deeper racial divides than 10-20 years ago. IMHO, Obama's presidency--rather heal and uplift the black community--has done potentially irreparable harm to unbiased racial judgment and created the black-white schism we are experiencing today. Feds are in it up to their asses along with the rest of our incompetent public agencies.

Well, let's see,nowhere to begin........ When a police officer shows up anywhere, there is at least alway 1 gun there.... His. If he gets overpowered and it gets taken, what do you figure the outcome will be? Do you think that good boy that just attacked a police officer will just take it and leave? Maybe he will kill the cop, or kill some citizens, then you can Monday morning quarterback the incident telling us how he should have shot the attacker. I can say this, I wasn't there, tasters and pepper spray aren't always effective, a person 21 feet away can traverse that distance in less time than it takes to pull your weapon from its holster and aim and fire. Furthermore, most taser cartridges that street officers carry have 15 foot leads, brown was 21-30 feet away, explain how that would have worked.....osmosis? True self defense,based on the injuries, where the first shots took place, and the fact of the starting distance or Browns returning for another fight, the use of force continum would tell one to resort to a firearm, just like the grand jury decided. My only observation is that Wilson fired quite a few rounds without hitting the target, I would suggest more firearms training. Police officers aren't supposed to get in street fights and win or maybe lose, and take their beatings. This whole thing was cause and effect, Mike Brown chose to cause the robbery, he chose to walk in the street and challenge the police, he chose to hit a police officer who was sitting in his vehicle. The effect of those actions is he is now dead, but by Brown's choices, not Wilsons. But really, you have an axe to grind with the police, I have no problem with that. Next time you need their help, call your local neighborhood thug, maybe he can help you better.

Rode to work today, then took the long way home. Rode yesterday and the day before and I'll ride to work tomorrow at o-dark-thirty for my Scottsdale trip. Last week I participated in a motorcycle scavenger hunt between work days. I ride every day there isn't snow or ice on the road.

Lets not forget the overwhelming number of black on black murders and violence going on in this country EVERYDAY, but of course that just gets shoved under the media rug. Are police becoming more aggressive, I would have to agree that they are overall......but are they totally wrong and unjustified in doing so? I am still a firm believer of "stupid hurts", and more times than not a certain reaction comes from a certain action or actions. We will always have situations were the outcome was not warranted, but that is all the media and this presidency focuses on. And if you don't believe that Al Sharpton is not one of the most racist sons of bitches we have in this country who very much so profits from the turmoil he spreads and revels in, you seriously need your head examined. That Eric Holder is a piece of shit too, he has also done allot of damage with his power trip comments and displays of outright prejudice.

An adult committed a violent robbery, then assaulted a police officer. He did not immediately surrender at the cruiser. FACTS everyone agrees on. What do people think the outcome should have been? There are plenty of hate crimes. There are plenty of cases of police abusing their power. This is neither. Stop perpetuating this media shitstorm.

I am all for lane splitting, but I didn't think it was formally legal in California, thought it was just allowed. Just thought the wording is a little odd. Also, I would imagine this being more of a state issue than a federal issue. Either way, signing because I want it. I remember reaching out to a local representative, he reached out to ODOT. ODOT stated they would not allow it because cars would want to do it too. Just add that to all the stupid things government can say...
