  4. window tint generally wont take cause the windscreen is plastic expands and contracts unlike a glass window
  5. alternator whine is also greater when running your rca's along with your power lead

  8. i agree with kahooli as someone who has taken the time and money to educate myself in this field most people have no fucking clue what any of the numbers and specs mean.
  9. what wattage numbers are you looking at? 2 10's at 1000-1900 watts?
  10. mtx is good stuff, infinty is clean as hell along with boston accoustics. Dont care for fosgate. I enjoy jl good bang for the buck but its more of a big boom type speaker.
  11. both is not really achievable it is but you have to sacrifice sound quality for spl and vice versa. I have been building stereos for about 8 years and have but a lot that have great sq and still thump hard but its not 3 block away ghetto blaster. I would run a nice quality 12 and a solid 300-400 watt amp.
  12. the real question to answer is sq or spl? My wifes truck is set up for sound quality. 3 mtx 10's and mtx 300.1d my truck was set up for spl 2 10w7 and 2 500/1 It all depends on what you are after. Do yourself a favor build a box to match your subs not buy a prefab box.
  13. id go with a new jl slash series amp same technology as the rip series but a little cheaper on the pocket and 1 12w3 wouldnt be in the 1400 watt range but I am not sure if you know how loud that really is. I had 2 10w7 and each sub had its own 500/1 pushing it. It was in a 93 toyota xtended cab and it would hurt you.

  15. it actually seals rust in the bad way. I know from a 4wd stand point it is bad because you can stress fracture a frame and never see it until to late.

  18. There was a guy that brought his supra in for work when I worked at walker toyota and he had dyno slips showing 650 rwhp and it was daily driven and dependable. Its hard to beat that aspect of a supra.

  21. Although I have 6 cars and 2 have gm motors and one is about to have a gm motor so I cant shit on them to hard I suppose. Thoughmy blazer is on its 3rd motor. spun a crank bearing on both motors on the same lobe.

  23. flame away id still rather not own a gm. Even the jimmy and grand nation powered jeep I have. Although sadly I am still putting a 4.3 in my toyota.
