XP Mode is only available in Win7 Pro or Ultimate. The price of the upgrade was almost as much as upgrading to QuickBooks 2011. I ended up setting up Windows Virtual PC and using a serial number from some student software that I got from devry. I'll never be using XP so it worked out and i'll charge her for it I loaded up Quickbooks 2000 and restored her settings from a backup file and it works like a charm. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Good recommendation. I didnt know this existed. This would save me from having to find a serial number and drivers for the second OS. Not to mention the folder integration between environments. This sounds like a winner. THANKS.

I did search google and found the method that I was already aware. This is to partition space, restart with XP Pro disc in drive and go through the standard format/load of that partition. I've done this several times in the past however this machine bluescreens on me and tells me to use checkdisk. One of the websites I looked at last night had post after post of the same thing happening. I've actually been strongly considering the second HDD option bc then i dont have to worry about the boot.ini conflicts (which is what easy BCD is fixing if I read that correctly). I need this to be as easy for her as possible. Do you have any issues with XP deleting the restore points saved on your 7 partition? I've been finding hints of that on a few websites.

I have a client that purchased a gateway box and wants to migrate all of her files. She has a licensed copy of quickbooks pro 2000 which isnt compatible with Win7. It requires her to purchase another 250 dollar license which is silly so im trying to setup a dual boot machine. I partitioned 20gb of her HD and tryed to boot to XP Pro with a disc but it keeps BsoD'ing. Im going to continue searching the internets but wanted to see if there was someone on here that could recommend an easy solution. At this point if I can't dual boot from the harddrive I may see if there is a virtual solution or something that can be done from a usb drive. I'm open for options but it must be a pretty easy solution bc this lady is computer illiterate and I cant be going over there everyday.

OMFG I am on my horn every day on this exit. Not only do you have a green arrow but you also have you own fn lane to drive into. The traffic on tuttle actually has to arrow right into that lane. When people stop and look left into that lane I normally pass right around them and honk on the way by Today some skirt getting off the grove city exit stopped in the right lane to merge with the stopped lane of traffic off on the berm. She just stopped in the middle of the highway. I wanted 3 trucks swerve to miss hitting her. Reread the link you posted. The bill was originally proposed with specific language in it that was challenged and had to be removed (see below). Redefinition language was around 'forced' rape and things that would be excluded as a result. Attempting to exclude those would result in less things being covered by taxpayer funding. I obviously wasnt saying this was about false accusations, others stated and posted pictures making women who claim rape out to be liars. Some may have been in jest but I think its pretty f'd up. "Smith sought to prevent the following situations from consideration: Women who say no but do not physically fight off the perpetrator, women who are drugged or verbally threatened and raped, and minors impregnated by adults. Smith promised to remove the language and while it is not technically in the bill, Mother Jones reports that House Republicans used “a sly legislative maneuver” to insert a “backdoor reintroduction” of redefinition language. Essentially, if the bill is challenged in court, judges will look at the congressional committee report to determine intent. The committee report for H.R. 3 says the bill will “not allow the Federal Government to subsidize abortions in cases of statutory rape” — thus excluding statutory rape-related abortions from Medicaid coverage."

I have an 'uncle' (extended family situation, not by blood) who is a registered sex offender as a direct result of such a situation. He was a massage therapist who had sex with a client. The client decided that in an effort to make a big paycheck she would claim he raped her so that she could sue the resort he worked at. He spent time in prison bc of this and is a registered sex offender. She got a nice settlement from the resort to avoid court. You all know what comes with that baggage he's received. I was raised around him. Hes an amazing man. I'd leave any of my three daughters in his care without giving second thought. There is no way he did it and she is a monster for doing what shes done to him for her monetary gain. Her life here is temporary, hell is eternal so I feel good knowing she will get hers. Having sex with anyone against their will or putting them into a situation where they cannot make a rational decision bc they've drugged is an abomination. Having sex with someone without the mental capacity to know right from wrong is an abomination. Be it bc of mental development or bc they are too young to understand (statutory rape isnt 'forced'). You can rationalize it in your mind however you like but its pretty clear to me. She has the right to say no and you don't have the right to take that from her. If she doesnt know that she should say no you dont have the right. Passing a bill that defines rape only when it was 'forced' opens up the door for every db with some ghb in his pocket to have a great time. GHB isnt called the date rape drug bc its recreational. Putting that language into a bill to try to directly reduce state/federal spending on abortion is one of the most f'd up things I've read in a long time. Make it personal bc if that passes it very possibly could become so, ask yourself this. If it was someone you loved, sister/cousin/child...whomever, would it be ok for someone else to drug them in order to have their way with them? If you answered no how can you tell someone else's sister/cousin/child 'you've gotta take one for the team bc the real issue here is abortion spending and we have to get this bill passed'.

With hankook ventus summer tires my car was extremely dangerous to drive in even a light dusting. They arent exactly nitto 555's either but they were TERRRRRIBBBLLE. With that kind of torque the traction control was on constantly and I could barely move. On the g8 forums there were guys talking about not being able to get up their driveways. LOL. Nearly everyone on the forums gets a dedicated set of winter tires. Theres no way I would ever let my wife in my car without them on. Get one, you will not regret it. The interior is actually really nice. You really get a lot for your money and a 100k powertrain warranty to boot. I'm loving mine.
