While I really don't care as much as some of you about smoking close to me, I'll say i'm glad its banned. I hope they tax the total hell out of it until its unaffordable. It does horrible things to people. I've always seen smoking not only as an addiction but as a weakness of character. Stressed out from work, go smoke. Get in an arguement w/ your spouse, go smoke. The only way to deal with everyday life is to go take a drag. Seems like a weakness to me. I may be a little bent up b/c I lost the most important woman in my life to lung cancer. My mom was taken from me at the young age of 39 and didnt get an opportunity to be a grandma to my daughter. Few of you can understand how it feels to watch someone so close die like that. For those that have i'm very sorry you had to go through it. Seems kinda silly that you take something like breathing for grandite but watching my mom struggle to breathe even w/ the assistance of oxygen sucked ass. Then they had her on so much dilotted/morphine to keep her "comfortable" she was just a zombie. The arguement of its my body i'll do what I please is just silly. Think about your kids/spouse/brothers,sisters and what they will go through when it kills you. Try thinking about someone other than yourself for a change.

Yeah, thats what im thinking. If i take what i've put into my pos p3 966mhz machine and add it to that processor i'd have a decent machine. I'd like to get some specs on it prior to making the whopping 200 dollar jump b/c i have a feeling thats after some rebates and crap. I'd also like to know what type of ram, how many open pci/agp slots and if theres room for my dvd burner in the case. If not a new case is cheap but still.

It sounds like your doing something wrong. If your tv will play the resolution then theres something wrong with your box or the service. The box must not be decoding the signal correctly. Is this hd over the air or a time warner/wow/insight box?

You get 4 & 10 through TW, gay ass sinclair won't let 6 come through cable on hd. If you have an hd tuner you'll get it though. TW also has 2 IN-Hd channels(which are bad ass b/c they have sporting events like UFC and K-1 in hd and lots of Imax films),Hbo HD, Showtime HD, Espn HD, TNT Hd, UPN hd, Tbs HD and Discovery HD. I'm very happy w/ the service so far. The other day watching the Pat's game in hd was just amazing. W/ that skycam pov in hd it was just kick ass. Now college basketball season is starting and i can't friggen wait till this friday to see the UNC game in hd. Hopefully they have lots of UK games in hd, go cats.

Last time i checked there are more DSM's running consistent 11 and low 12 sec passes in this area than vr4's. Never once did i try to discredit the dudes work or say his car wouldn't be fast. I only agreed w/ a statement regarding the expense of modding the vehicle. You can praise the 3s as much as you want but your starting out w/ a very heavy platform and if your intent is to be very fast you have that obstacle always starring you in the face. You'll need a few extra psi than the next guy that weighs 500-800 lbs less. Again the ic looks nice and good luck w/ your setup.

I could actually use an electrician if there are any on here looking for some side money. We have a garage off the house that has no electric to it right now. Theres an underground wire that got hit by an auger so i think it needs reconnected and a new circuit breaker in the garage itself. I'd like to learn how to do some simple wiring myself so i'll be in your hair watching. Hopefully someone can give me a hand. Thanks in advance.

I finally made the plunge and bought a bf tv, 50" Hitachi Ultravision, rear projection lcd HDTV. I find myself watching the dumbest shows but b/c they are in HD i don't want to stop. I have a family member who needed some money to pay off something so I picked it up for 500 bucks, the kicker is i sold my old 36" HDTV for 350 so i only have the difference wrapped up in it. The reason for my post is not to gloat(although it is beautiful ), i'm hoping someone else on here owns this tv. My daughter DESTROYED the remote w/ daddy's hammer that i forgot to put out of her reach for 4 minutes. Good thing it wasn't my tv, we would have knuckled up. I have a pretty nice touch screen Sony commander remote that will learn the functions by putting the remotes face to face. So hopefully someone will let me come over and program my remote w/ yours smile.gif Can anyone hook me up?

Ha, your talking to some guys that been to the dsm shootout for the last 5 years running and witnessed first hand some of the fastest 3si cars in the country. Not only are they heavy but they are expensive to make really fast. So maybe it should be changed to say it takes a lot of bank to make those tugs fast. [/QB] fastest in the country at the DSM shootout? I dont think so. I went to this years, and the one that looked the most impressive didnt even run. People run high 12's on stock turbos. Just incase you dont know how big stock turbos are, make 2 fists and hold them together and then youll know. Last time i checked high 12's are fast. Fastest 3S i believe is running 9's, wouldnt call that slow either. People with my mods, which are just your BPU mods, who upgrade to 14b turbos (stock automatic dsm turbo i believe) get into the 11's. You just need to upgrade the right stuff, wit the right things [/QB] This last year was an extremely poor example, i was referring to the past few years. Little to noone from the 3si community was there this year but 2 years ago our RV was side by side w/ the AAM guys and at the hotel we were kicking it w/ the guys from dynamic racing(who i believe have the fastest 3si w/o nitrous). At that time the AAM guys were the fastest in the country and I do believe they were running twin 16g's. The dynamic guys were messing w/ propane injection and still working out the bugs with their setup. I'm not saying you won't/can't be fast, i was only pointing out that your going to sink some money into it to be whats considered fast in this area. Just look at Jeffs 3kgt, he probably got 20K + in engine mods done to it. Good luck w/ your project, hope to see you out sometime.

The speakers on the side are rather small, i'd guess less than 2.5 inches wide. The picture on this thing is golden, and its 16:9. I have the hd dvr from time warner and its worth its weight in gold with this tv. Once you go HD you'll never go back.
