If I was inside my home, I would already have my shotgun. I understand it's for protection but protection is a mere perspective. Protection to me could mean calling the cops and letting the right people handle it. To you, it could be blowing their head off.

I am against carrying any type of handgun. I see NO use for them. That being said, this guy didn't have a handgun and wasn't carrying it... he was safe at home, and that's what will get him in trouble. If he would have never called 911, he could have made it a self defense case but it's all on tape, him not doing what the dispatcher said and left his house to kill them, not even to stop them. Very scary and very intense... I actually think this guy was a hero and feel really bad for him and his family. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time but he acted on his emotions. Unfortunetly, I think he will be in trouble for it... And I hope I have neighbors like Joe Horn.

This is a good thread... sometimes people need reminded of the responsibility a pet can be. i'm learning this now with my new pup. ive always had dogs growing up but never a puppy so this is really new to me. but I did a lot of research and im ready for it!

Thanks! Yeah he is being stubborn but I think he's just being a puppy. He seems to like to pee... a lot! I take him out, he goes, 10 minutes later, he goes on the carpet. He's so cute I can't stay made. But I am blaming him for the Buckeyes this weekend, damn you Woody.

I'm going to a breeder on Thursday out in Cochoton and they also have JRTs. If they are pretty good breeders, I'll let you know.
