Look at my last reply. If it's not the original 7M-GTE engine, you need to find out what it is. 1JZ? Doubt its a 2JZ. Could be some other random engine. Either way, find out before getting it.

MKIII's are kinda heavy, but still handle well. IIRC can't get much more than 400 hp out of the original engine, if you want more you will need to swap to something else. Problems with head gaskets, but can be taken care of with an aftermarket gasket and ARP head studs. Make sure they are tight from time to time and the car should be dead reliable.
