  1. huge gaps between the body and the bumpers/step bars look terrible. Body lifts are a way to get that last little bit of wiggle room for big tires for offroading, and all too often they are used as a cheap way to lift trucks. I don't think its a particularly safe way to lift stuff, and it would annoy me to all hell that the shifter sits that much lower.
  2. If you buy it take that giant ass body lift off, it looks terrible.
  3. you are being punished by a lack of ban. is it tormenting you yet? and I hardly ban people anymore because whenever I do anthony pops in and overturns it. If it weren't for that, I'd probably ban an average of 2 people a week just for annoying me. As for the question of what can get you banned - racial slurs threats spamming blatantly illegal shit that can get the board in trouble hatred by the majority of contributing members/being an all around piece of shit making a new account to get around being banned posting under someone else's account (used to happen all the time, not so much these days) also, continued abuse after warnings for disregarding section specific rules, such as the for sale rules and the NWS rules. Unless you catch a moderator on a bad day, most cases are discussed by us before making any kind of action. If there are any questions, feel free to pm me.
  4. Kenny has contributed more than you ever will to the racing community. Then his car got jacked, and he simply hasn't been the same since. What I miss the most is him running off noobs, we wouldn't have half the problems that we do if he was still doing his job.
  5. Kenny is more OG than god, he can do pretty much whatever he wants around here.
  6. Sure is. Thing is, I have no clue who did it I guess I could just ban Phil for allowing it to happen :bangbang:
  7. Christian, yes I read that link. Not all of it applies, I just thought it was a funny way to respond to a long post that I didn't have the attention span to read.
  8. Oh, and I honestly think that if this election was between an old school democrat such as governor Strickland, and Mccain, I would probably vote for Strickland. Because I know he actually believes in what comes out of his mouth, unlike the vast majority of those in Washington.
  9. I'm not so sure that political pundits are as much the problem, as only realistically ever having two choices. I'd like to see both parties get split in two - one part being what the parties stood for 50 - 75 years ago, and the other what the party has evolved into. The irony is that on the one side, you would have the democratic party and the green party, and on the other side you would have the GOP and the libertarian party.
  10. Hey Christian, I think this is you EDIT - I didn't read any of your post, did you say anything meaningful?
  11. Exactly. And if you lived up to it, you would either A. be making more $$$ than me, or failing this B. have killed yourself
  12. No, Mar©'s just a douche that can't live up to his own hype
  13. I was arguing with someone in some thread that I don't feel like digging up, about how there are people out there that believe that the only reason some people out there won't vote for Obama is because they are racist. Whoever was arguing with me claimed that no one has ever said that. Well, looky what I just found in today's news: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/16/cafferty-obama-race-a-factor/ My point in the previous thread was that there are people out there so brainwashed by this guy, that they refuse to believe that there is no possible reason to not like Obama unless you are racist. I then said that I didn't think anyone was stupid enough to say this in the news in any way, yet I was proven wrong. I guess this makes half of America racist. Good job, douchebag from CNN http://smiliesftw.com/x/gtfon.gif
  14. someone needs to chop a smiley face in the center of that
  15. Of course, its the American way! Although, if I lived in a state that was going a certain way, and knew that my vote had no bearing on the outcome, then I would vote third party in hopes that enough other people would too, allowing them to qualify for government funding in the next election. Ohio though will come down to the wire, as it always does, and can potentially be the tiebreaker. Therefore, I have to cancel out Eric's vote for Obama
  16. You can either get a stock trans out of a junkyard for $2500 that will have the same problem, or you can get a basic upgraded one for $5,000. If you want the cool shit like dog gears, I think its around $7500. I guarantee I can break a stock transmission in a stock '02 WRX, just with a full set of slicks and a couple hard launches at the drag strip. And JaSSon is talking about breaking stock transmissions on stock TB SS's. And that's ALREADY an upgraded transmission from the factory. If you want to make any AWD system out there dead reliable, cap the engine at 100hp and call it a day. Hey Shawn, how many rentals did you beat on while you owned your last Audi? Oh, and I'm not just pointing out that the driveline is the only part of a turbo AWD that suffers breakage, everything related to the turbo is prone to give out too. Whats the average life expectancy of any given turbo? 100k miles? What happens when your factory IC catches a big enough rock and cracks? What happens when a leak develops somewhere else? All of a sudden, its like driving a civic. But hey, better gas mileage!
  17. What was it you were just telling me you had to replace? Oh, that's right... [01:23] joneze93tsi: A4 is running better than ever. [01:23] joneze93tsi: I think the dv was leaking slowly for a while. Case in point, look at the DSM. It is one of the first AWD Turbo cars out there that actually sold in any kind of quantity, and its known for its lack of reliability. The point though, is that you are taking a power adder, that is very easy to get more power out of, then coupling it to a driveline that doesn't allow tire spin. SOMETHING is going to let go. In the early WRX's, its the transmission. As said above, in the STI's it is the rear axle shafts. Jones became an Audi snob, but he even knows not to own one without a warranty.
  18. I can't say that I like Mccain, but the thing is, I completely HATE Obama. I think that's how a lot of other people feel too, which is why you can trash Mccain all you want and it doesn't matter. It still won't add up to the level of hate that is out there for Obama. I'm still holding out for Ron Paul
  19. Turbo + AWD = broken parts. There is always a weak link, don't expect a car that fits this formula to ever be 100% reliable. Oh, and I would love to get rid of my WRX, I'm just not sure yet how I can assume the negative equity and get the title transferred.
  20. I'm watching NASCAR on the bigscreen, with all the lights on. Power came back on sometime last night before midnight out in Johnstown. I think the people that work for the town fixed the power lines instead of waiting for AEP
  21. J town is out. I'm in the same boat as thorne, laptop + phonemodem. I was out on the ATV a bit ago helping remove trees from Rt. 37
  22. Yeah, I was thinking the other way around. Its been too long since I've messed with that shit.
