  1. yay for gimmicks no doors? gotta figure out how to jump over the sides ground clearance sucks. My stock '87 toyota 4x4 sat higher 20" wheels is a hinderance, the tires won't be able to have as much give to crawl over stuff at low tire pressure I see no benifit to having a second motor in the rear, especially since both engines go into the same transfer case. Unneccessary weight, and being in the back doesn't help anything.
  2. Walking out on a bill is complete bullshit. If people were smoking in there, then it is in an area that isn't covered by the smoking ban. Rooster's has always been a place that allows smoking in the entire building. You were in the wrong.
  3. A '95 should have the new gen motors. If it's a V6, that milage still sounds a bit low, I would guess more like 15 and the I4 would be like 18 - 20. If it's the old gen motors, I can't remember when they changed, the V6's have headgasket issues and the milage is probably about what you said. They are great vehicles, you can't kill them, just a tad bit underpowered. Let me know what engine size engine it is and I'll give you the story on it. V6 it will either be a 3.0 or 3.4, I4 it will either be the 22RE or 2RZ, both a 2.4. Easy way to tell is exhaust on the 2RZ is on the passenger side, exhaust on the 22RE is on the driver side.
  4. Good info. I got a call once on my cell that seemed to be telemarketing. I interrupted the person telling them it was a cell phone, they said sorry and hung up immidiately. DJ, I'm glad that you mentioned that. I recall now having heard about it, but had forgotten. Post up the way to get on the do not call list as soon as you get the info. Vince, sounds like you found a good deal. With the Sprint, I recommend the free PCS to PCS calling, it's an extra $5 a month and if you talk to many others on Sprint, you'll save a lot of minutes. I have the Sanyo PM-8200 phone and recommend it, especially if you want to do internet stuff on your phone. Either way, it's a camera phone and speakerphone, with some other nice options.
  5. just make sure you have enough minutes. My dorm had a phone, but I only used it to call other dorm rooms. My last apartment had a phone, but I never used it, just my roommates. I had no need for it. I've just had a cell phone the whole time I've lived in Columbus, it's still a Marietta number but it doesn't matter since everyone I know has only a cell phone, and they all seem to come with free long distance these days. Just make sure you get plenty of minutes with free night and weekends. I have 350 daytime and I never go over. It also helps to get the same service that the majority of your friends have, and get the extra service of free mobile to mobile of that company. Also, make sure you get good reception in your home, or else the phone is worthless.
  6. Sounds like the problems that Anthony was having. It also sounds like the valve body is stuck, and/or it's not getting enough tranny fluid. Talk to Anthony about where he got his fixed, I think he was pleased.
  7. Beautiful truck, looks to be in great shape. The jeep PICKUPS are sweet.
  8. Take the title (in your name) along with proper ID to a dealership that sells new whatever make vehicle you have, and they will cut you a brand new one off the VIN. Keys are FAR more simple than car manufacturers would like for the average consumer to know.
  9. OMGLOL do you play with the name "Italian Hitman"?
  10. After putting the decimal place where it belongs, a buy it now of $37k is a steal for that truck. It sells new for $50k. Also, the wheels are factory originals.
  11. Columbus limits are strangely laid out? Keep in mind, Franklin County != Columbus. Some of the 'burb's and townships in the county complied with the Columbus ban, but others didn't care. Because I thought that, in a humorous sort of way, it somewhat fit in this section using the title I gave it.
  12. seriously. it would be close, but the person able to get the power to the ground will be the winnar
  13. I guarentee that truck turns more heads, gets more waves, smiles, and thumbs up than anything on this board. I wish my truck looked half that good.
  14. "whip"? Columbus Racing has room reserved every Friday night at Mr.Geeros in Reynoldsburg. Meeting time is 10pm. Go HERE for a map.
  15. Go to an ODOT auction, they've usually got a few sitting around that go cheap
  16. I'm wanting to make a list of places that are not included in the Columbus smoking ban. So far I've heard rumors of: Whitehall Reynoldsburg Clintonville, specifically the Lennox Center. Feel free to add areas that still allow indoor smoking. Please make sure to specify if the place is somewhere that you have only heard of (rumor), or if you have been there since the ban started to see for yourself (confirmed). I will update this list as I get more info.
  17. the V6's blow headgaskets constantly. Maybe get one and do a swap for cheap?
  18. I was hoping that something would come of this thread so that I could leave it here, but it didn't happen.

  20. Loud is subjective, some people (like myself) enjoy the way they sound. The smell has to do with some of the things in the diesel fuel itself. In the next few years, diesel fuel is going to be changed to be far cleaner burning, so that smell will go away. Reasons to own a diesel: Far more reliable than any gas motor. Far less fuel consumption than a comparitively sized gas motor. Insane amounts of torque. Turbo And it's difficult to screw up the tuning. Basicly, a diesel can't run rich or lean. The motor just doesn't care. It's nothing to throw 75 lbs of boost at a diesel with upgraded turbos. Go test drive a TDI VW Jetta sometime. 50 miles per gallon, and I bet you won't even be able to tell the motor burns something other than gas.
  21. v6 wheels? graemlins/thumbsdown.gif
