    Kickstand down (duh) lift the stand slowly and start leaning the bike when the stand gets close to the ground. This is a one hand on the stand and one hand in the bike operation obviously. I also loop a zip tie on the front brake.

    i have a $44 one from Iron Pony. worked all year for me. had both wheels off of the bike for about 2 months and no problems. (Front stand was $44 Too).
