Sighhhh, yeah looking at a map all the roads are fricken straight up there! I guess I'll just tool around Lorain and maybe Vermilion or something. Riding Oberlin Ave is fun, its like an obstacle course avoiding all the pot holes! Alright, well gotta get in the shower and finish packin, hopefully I'll see a few of ya up at QS&L tonight!

Friday is my birthday and I got family plans both during the afternoon and evening, and Sunday we're gonna hit the St Peters picnic for abit then head back to Columbus. Sooo, maybe see you at QS&L tomorrow night? I think I still got your number from the poker run. We'll be @ QS&L just after 7pm.

Okay so my bud bailed on me for a ride, he's got his kids for the weekend but I'm still good for QS&L. If anyone wants to ride on Saturday morning let me know. Also, even if you can't ride is there anywhere good to ride in the area? I know I'm originally from the area but I've been gone for so long and didn't have a bike back then so I can't think of any good riding roads for the life of me. I know about the Metroparks, I did that last year when I came to town but thats to slow of a ride, nice scenery but the 25-35mph speed limit gets old real quick!

Hey all you Lorain peeps, I'm gonna be up in the area THUR 7/30 thru SUN 8/2. I have plans on attending bike night at QS&L in Sheffield tomorrow night, not exactly sure what time I'll be there, gonna lock that down tomorrow afternoon sometime with a friend I'm meeting up there. I'm hoping to ride with that same friend for a couple hours on either Friday or Saturday afternoon and would like to hookup with or include any of you all. I'll have my laptop with me for access to the site so I can check on this thread and for any PM's. My plans also include the St Peters Picnic on Saturday evening and maybe again on Sunday afternoon before heading back to Cbus. I'll be stayin on the Westside of Lorain, not far from St Peters. Anyone that wants it, I'll give them my cell # via PM.

Why? If the same thread keeps going all you have to do is jump to the LAST page to see the latest info. I originally started the thread but if you or anyone wants to create new weekly threads feel free, I don't own the thread BTW, we won't be there this week (7/31), got other plans.

We have rules?? Oh, btw, welcome.

Apples to Oranges, whether or not the rider was already in Coshocoton or the other wreck was a "freak" thing, both events will forever be associated with this ride. Seriously, no people don't wreck "all the time" nor do they have to and it's called "pack mentality", "mob rule", "bandwagon affect" and many other names but it all means the same thing.... people do what they see others doing when in groups so if the "group" or the leaders are riding balls-to-the-wall then the rest of the pack will without even thinking try to keep up, its not easy to break out of that state of mind once you get there. How can "I" be the problem when "I" wasn't even on the ride, thats just a damn silly statement and to say that "I" don't have the maturity to go on a ride like this is the exact opposite of the truth, I proved that I have the foresight and maturity to know that this was not for me therefore I did not attend. And to say the "group" is not responsible for things "completely out of their control" is not exactly a true statement either, the group is responsible for "controlling" things, ie. the pace and danger level of a ride. Responsible riding does not include cresting blind hills and curves @ 100mph. Why do so many people think you have to crash your bike if you want to call yourself a "rider"? Anyway, as I said earlier, it was my opinion, these are my thoughts on the subject, I'm not gonna post in this thread anymore, I've said what I wanted to so you can continue to bash me if thats the level you want to stoop to, I guess thats what I can expect for being a responsible rider. - SWing'R out

Yeah I saw you u crazy SOB

I've rode thru the area before (Coshocton) and like some of the roads but don't think I will ever be up for a "group" ride in the area. IMHO, you guys simply ride to fast and there is to much room for serious complications, fortunately no one was injured this time, but what about next time? You had two bikes go down yet everyone is calling it a "good ride", pretty sure the two guys that went down aren't calling it that. Sorry but my definiton of a good ride does NOT include phrases like "we only had two riders go down". Thats my 2cents, bash me, call me a pussy or what not but I'll ride within the limits that I feel safe in and if that means not going on a Coshocton ride then so be it. BTW, I could have made this ride, had absolutey no plans, but chose not to because I knew how the ride would be.

Ahhh some of you guys have to much time on your hands!

I think Mr Anderson is looking to upgrade from his 250 to a 600.
-
+1 on the short notice!
-
Yeah I think the first was the best too.

Anytime you want to ride man, just let me know, anytime.

That was funny, but you can't say something like that without explaining why I chirped 'em... So I opened it up a bit down this section of neighborhood side street, just after I laid into it, a cop turns off one of the side streets in our direction, I see him, applied heavy brake and think I dropped all the way into 1st in the process, slowed down extremely fast with a nice little screech from the back tire! Thank god for my eagle-eye vision

Hey I took her bike out this morning while she was at church cause she's been having some shifting issues so I wanted to ride it around a bit and see if there's something wrong, turns out its newbie error, the bike is okay, she is still learning but while I had it out I gave in to my curiosity and took it WOT to see what it had.... it maxed out @ 75mph with my 185lb ass on it. I kinda thought it might have had a little more than that, must be the gearing, oh well, its plenty fast for her (right now anyway).
