What are we gonna do a age-sex-location check next? Is this a chat forum now or what?
  2. I was thinking the same thing the other day, it would also make it easier to go back and find a thread later if they were in their own forum/category. Maybe call it "Fallen Riders" or something?
  3. It was cool. The wife passed so she's happy about that... http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=29156

  4. The bike is awesome. Of course its my first real bike so my comparisons are not worth much, all I have to compare it to is the Honda Silverwing 600 scooter I rode before getting the Yamaha. But I've put over 1700 miles on it in 3months!

  5. I'll most likely be there, not sure if my wife is coming but at the min I should be there.
  6. You don't have any bullet holes in ya do you? Be thankful you're alive and don't worry about your bike. BTW, just saw it on the morning news, they got the car and the shooter.

  8. Not in our class. But there was a second class going on there too.
  9. Columbus, at the ODPS on Broad St up on the Hilltop.
  10. The wife doesn't really have anything to compare the TW200 to besides her scooter, but it had seriously thick tires! I absolutely enjoyed the handling of the XT, it was light and very nimble, I was cruisin right thru most of my exercises like a pro on that thing. I could so see myself offroading with that thing and really enjoying it!
  11. Congratulations honey on passing the MSF BRC, I'm very proud of you!

  12. Shout out to my wife (DiamoGirl) for successfully completing the MSF Basic Rider Course today!! Congratulations honey, love ya, but now stay the hell away from my bike! We both successfully completed the course today, I'm already fully licensed I just took it to take it with her and hopefully get a little more off on insurance. The course was fun, we both were riding dualsport bikes, and I gotta tell ya I really think I might like to get a dualsport or dirtbike now too, the bike was really fun to ride, the whole time I just wanted to take it and run up over the curb and bolt across the grass and hill but didn't think they'd really like that Before 8am yesterday morning the wife had never ever rode anything with gears or a clutch, hell she never even drove a cage with a clutch and by 9am yesterday there she was riding a real motorcycle around! You go girl! So now, after 12hrs of riding a real motorcycle she's thinking about upgrading the scooter to a real bike! Lets see how long it takes RockStarHonda (our salesperson @ HNW) to sniff out this post Here are the bikes we rode during the course, this is the one I rode, a Yamaha XT, I think its a 125cc... Here is the one she rode, a Yamaha TW200...
  13. No earwax on them. They are the kind that actually rest on the ear and don't have a bud that sticks into the ear, thats the kind we actually want. And no, that wasn't us you saw, we did not ride in the scavenger hunt ride we were doing something else that day, can't remember what.
  14. I've got two black Motorola H500 Bluetooth headsets I'm looking sell. They are used but in excellent condition, I got them both with new phones but both my wife and I don't like them, they work fine, we don't like the way the fit on us, merely just a design thing. I don't have the original packaging but have the manuals and chargers for both. Looking to get $10 each individually or $15 for both.
  15. To bad. I was there with ReaconRat and a few others... DigitalGirl and husband (forgot the name) nice meeting ya! Always nice to see PrincessPratt out too. Wheezle and friends and Cypress and some others I forgot their names. I just got home, looked like the storm(s) might be here soon so I took off.
  16. Taken from page 43 of the MSF BRC book Section IV... "...possibly strong shaking of the handlebar" Sounds like a tankslap to me.
  17. Can't remember where it was but there was a recent post that ended up talking about tankslapping recovery technics and there was some debate on the right or wrong way to recover. Well, I am currently taking the MSF BRC (had the classroom session last night) and one of the things mentioned is what to do in the event of a "wobble or weave" (tankslap being the wobble) and the correct answer for both scenarios (according to the MSF) is to firmly grip the handlebars without locking your arms and to deaccelerate, NOT accelerate as someone was mentioning in the other thread. Just thought I'd pass this along.
  18. Relax, I'm married dude, I just like to look and maybe watch
