  1. I've got my email converted over to the portable version of Thunderbird on my external drive and firefox the same way now so let the sucker die, I don't care! No problems, shutdowns or reboots since cleaning it out though
  2. http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=68815
  3. Had a nice time today, nice meeting a couple new people, even if one of them did spill his drink all over our table We just got in, I gotta go give my ribs a break, think Melissa cracked a couple as I took the curve on 70W between Broad St and Hague, I love that little curve right there
  4. Well I think I'm going to switch to the portable version of firefox installed on and ran from my external drive. Trying out the portable version of thunderbird for my email, again installed and ran on the external, that way if and when this thing takes the big dump I won't actually lose anything. I shut it down a few minutes ago and cleaned out the power supply and cpu fan and cpu heatsink slots with some canned air, a lot of crap flew out of the power supply and the cpu slots had quite a bit of caked on dirt, I couldn't actually see down thru many of the slots. Maybe thats all she needed
  5. Since posting this thread the thing hasn't crapped out once, sooo, guess I'll let it ride and do daily backups of my email, thats about the only thing that actually resides on the local harddrive, I store everything else on my external.
  6. The PowerSpecs are not crap, I've gotten lots of years use out of all the ones I've owned, just like anything else, eventually things happen. As for building my own, I don't really have the time or patience for that. The pc ran fine all night last night, and is doing fine again this morning, so not sure if I'll be replacing it this weekend or letting it ride a little longer.
  7. I swore I'd never buy another eMachine, but this ain't a bad sounding machine for under $300! http://www.walmart.com/ip/eMachines-EL1352G-01w/15062989#Specifications
  8. Melissa and I are planning on making it.
  9. I prefer to buy local so I have someone to go see if I have a problem soon after the purchase. The one I have now is a PowerSpec from MicroCenter as it the wife's pc. I can use hers or our NetBook if mine won't stay running. So far it just acts up here and there, yesterday it shut down everytime I tried to turn it on after work, it would make it to windows then shortly after shut off, then later on it ran fine and stayed on
  10. Funny you should say that, I picked up a trojan the other night on The Huns but my AV cleaned it as soon as it hit.
  11. ...to replace my home pc I'm getting tired of dealing with its quirks and fixing one thing after another. First it was rebooting, ended up being RAM, then the monitor went out, then the video card, then my external HD, now the damn thing just keeps shutting off whenever it wants. I think the power supply is beginning to fail. Looks like a trip to Micro Center this weekend. Didn't need this extra expense so close to Christmas, especially since our garage door opener took a shit last weekend, that was $138 I wasn't ready to shell out but had to.
  12. Looks like it might be nice, considering riding to this.
  13. Originally, but thats changed, Saturday is looking like 62deg partly sunny around noon.
  14. I'm a shitty rider, I speed, I cross center lines and do stupid shit all the time on my bike, that's just how I roll
  15. I think thats pretty cool. Imagine when that kid grows up and has kids of his own and they see the video of their dad rappin at 7yrs old. Priceless. Hey check out this one, pretty cool stuff.... http://video.yahoo.com/network/100063489?v=8520724&l=100063517
  16. You can't always believe what people post online you know. I have the blu's they work fine, I had one atomizer go bad and I bought a replacement for it for $5 from Volcano. Like I said, the ONLY negative experience I had with Blu was waiting for the starter kit to arrive. Blu's are refillable too. Almost any three-part ecig can be refilled. Wish you would have asked me. You can replace the fiber insert (that holds the juice) and you can refill as often as you like with ejuice from anywhere. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ1YcC3Nuik Good luck with your purchase, hope you like it.
  17. Any questions you have just post them here and I'll try and answer them, here are some links for you to do some more research, although you may be over analyzing this, it's not that big of a decision or purchase, you're talking around $60 to give it a whirl depending on the company/product you chose. I'm affiliated with 5 different companies... South Beach, Blu Cig, GreenSmoke, Volcano Cigs and Luci. I have personal experience with Blu Cigs, Greensmoke and Volcano. GreenSmoke was the first ecig I tried, thought the cig was bulky and heavy, and abit pricey. Blu Cigs, love em, thats the product I currently use. Only negative thing I can say about them is that there shipping of the starter kit is very very slow, cartridge refills arrive pretty quick though. Volcano, I use their cartridge refills with my Blu Cig, little cheaper and more flavors. http://www.stopsmokinghabits.com/ http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ http://www.blucigforum.com/ http://www.electroniccigaretteban.org/
  18. I don't disagree with you one bit. However, not everyone has the mental stamina to just stop, others need help whether it be nicorette gum, a patch, a ecig or something else. I smoked for many years. I quit cold-turkey. I smoke the ecigs purely as a sales tool
  19. First, let me clear up one common misconception... - eCigs are NOT sold as a smoking cessation product - They make no claims to help you quit smoking The companies have to say this for legal reasons. Having said that, let me tell you that YES they can and will help you quit smoking, or at least lessen your dependence on the real thing. You gotta remember that you have to WANT to quit. The smokers wanting to quit have to deal with two things... - the "mental" addiction - the "physical" addiction Ecigs help with both! Ecigs provide you with nicotine to help with the physical addiction and the mental addiction part is obvious, you still get to hold a cig, suck on a cig, and blow smoke. Well, something that appears like smoke.
  20. Thats the one I use myself as a "demo". Nothing sells a product like seeing it in use! Just ask Moose, I was smoking it at Dave & Busters Saturday night at our table at the bar and our waiter asked me about them and took a card. If you'd like to see it in person let me know since I have the blu's. I don't actually stock anything though, I sell them strictly as an "affiliate" thru their website. I direct customers to their site via my link, they sell it and ship it, I get a commission. Pretty simple.
