  1. Most of the fatalities are with no helmet.
  2. The new Big Lots in Hilliard on Roberts Rd keeps amazing me with good deals on all kinds of stuff, couple weeks ago it was energy drinks/shots (by the way they are all gone) today I snagged a few blank cdr's and dvdr's for only $4 for a 30pack! Philips brand, $4 for 30 cd's or dvd's. Nice. They are on a display near the checkout.
  3. Glad I wasn't the only one! Those little bastards right, all they do is make a spec on your visor and somehow manage to get up inside the visor every so often, hate 'em I only did 2.5hrs but it was definitely nice out!
  4. Sorry guys, wasn't sure if I'd have time to ride today, when it happened it was spur-of-the-moment. I just got back. Did 150miles, rode out 33 to 180 to 374 to 664 back to 33 and back to cbus. Nice day, good time, lots of bugs
  5. Anyone wanna go for a little ride with me? Gonna probably leave within the hour. Leavin from Hilliard area. Not sure where I'm going, haven't been out in a couple weeks, just need to ride some! Hopefully back before dark. Anyone wanna try and meet up with me give me a call/text on my google voice number 614.xxx.xxxx
  6. I've never had this happen normally either but I did experience it once when I shined up the seat when cleaning the bike, I don't do that anymore.
  7. Yeah, to late. I blew it.
  8. Yeah tell me about, I wanna go back to high school
  9. Meh, everyone's entitled to their opinion. And for the record, I use a Fuzzbuster FB-3500 in my personal vehicle, have had for a long time now and it does just fine. I don't speed in my work van, it's gps-tracked and I get in trouble for going over 67mph for more than 5minutes, so there's really no point, lock the cruise at 65 and wave at everyone as the flip me off cause I'm going to slow.
  10. DVR'd it, haven't watched it yet.
  11. First of all,I never said all were created equal. I said... And the graph in the link you provided proves exactly that. EVERY detector in the test picked up a signal at the furthest distance in both instant-on and constant-on. So why pay more for one over the other? They all worked. You mentioned being concerned with a "contant-on" situation, my point in this is that even a pos walmart special is gonna pickup that contant on signal, the biggest difference in the more expensive units is extra perks and filtering. But hey, go ahead and spend $400 for a fancy unit, it's your money. But the money you save on a pos model could go towards the eventual ticket
  12. Your also more likely to get a warning WITHOUT a radar detector. You get pulled over with one and the cops love that shit, besides it's an outright admittance to speeding, why else would you have it.
  13. Well in that case any old detector even a pos is gonna do just fine. Why spend $400 on something when a $70 units gonna do just as well. C'mon, did you really think no one was gonna tell you that And "Dad"? Really, I ain't that old
  14. Just cause a cop is sitting with their radar gun in hand or pointing down the highway does NOT mean the radar is transmitting. Radar detectors are NOT cop detectors, they only work when there is RF being transmitted. Which is why I made the comment above about even the most expensive ones simply letting you know you just got nailed.
  15. Thats why I said this... Basically in situations where you are alone on the road or the lead car its foolish to run that fast, with or without a radar detector. Thats just inviting trouble. You do realize that even the most expensive radar detector is only going to tell you that you just got nailed in a "blind situation" when the cop is using "instant-on" rather then sitting with it running steady.
  16. I think radar detectors are overrated, the best defense (besides obviously not speeding) is a keen sense of your surroundings. Unless you are the only car on the road you can usually tell by other cars reactions when/where a cop is. But I guess being the lone car or lead car on a stretch of road is another story. I have a very old POS radar/laser detector that still seems to work okay.
  17. What the hell is..... you know, nevermind, I probably don't want to know!
  18. This one explains a little more detail... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkq6fi2U2zE&feature=related
