I don't like the spending that Bernie is proposing. I'm also opposed to pretty much all of his ideas and policies.  Which is bad when I consider him the least suspicious candidate...

Why give law enforcement the opportunity to pull you over?

I've been pulled over for no front plate. It was at 3:30am on a Saturday night. He used it as an opportunity to check me for OVI. Being stone sober I'm sure he was disappointed.

If they are looking for something, they will find a way to justify the stop. Broken light, no plate, no license plate light, improper lane change, following too close, etc. etc.

Plate it, or possibly get harassed about it. Simple choice to me.

Nice. This is my 3rd dodge vehicle, and further one to have a tranny issue.

On that note, I did not get my truck back Friday. There is a pump on backorder. Expedite request ordered from the dealership and dodge. She couldn't give me an estimate on when the part would arrive. She say possibly another 2 weeks. So this week will be 2 months.

Confirmed again that there would be no cost. She asked again if I needed a rental, which I laughed off again.

So what does that work out to be in total monthly expenses?  70/30?

My wife and I just had this same discussion, as we are new homeowners.

I make significantly more money than my wife, and I suggested maybe a 60/40 or a 65/35. However, being the stubborn woman she is she decided 50/50 was appropriate for our mortgage. Justification was that I pay for other bills that she doesn't contribute to. Also, I pay for the vast majority of outings, activities and meals.
It's not an ideal situation in my opinion, because her half of our mortgage is more than half of a bi-weekly paycheck for her.

The ideal option for us would be to combine bank accounts. But she likes her credit union and I like my bank. So that hasn't happened yet.

They're tossing parts at it because they've no idea how to fix it. I hope you're not buying these parts.

Well they ordered a butt load of parts for it yesterday. I was in the car and couldn't write down all of it. So I'm not sure if they found the problems, or they are still guessing and just throwing parts at it.
Supposedly it will be done by Friday. I wait with baited breath...

I bought a pair of Rev jam 300's. Work well and can be bought on the cheap.

I use them when I'm walking on the treadmill, sitting at my desk, and out on the bike. They do well in those purposes for me.

The only downside I have, which I don't use too often is the calling feature. Specifically the microphone. If and when I take calls with the headphones in i usually have to pull the right earbud out and hold the microphone for people to be able to hear me.

As of this coming Friday, my truck has been at the dealership for 6 weeks. I was finally able to get some answers out of the service manager yesterday.

They replaced the PCM after getting a fault code that pointed back to the solenoid pack that is brand new. After the PCM replacement the truck threw out 4 separate codes for diagnosis. Although after looking them up, it doesn't look too good.

The good news is that since my warranty expired in May, and I reported around July, Chrysler will cover the repair under warranty. A small silver lining I guess.

As for the rental...

Chrysler said that they could not guarantee that I would be compensated for a rental car. Nor could they reimburse me until the repairs were completed. So I passed on that option.
