  1. As long as it is a legal stop sign (size, shape, color) mounted at the regulation height, it could be citable. We just tend to stay away from private property. Even though we don't take non-injury or non-hit skip accident reports, I have still been ordered to.

About 5 years ago I arrested a 17 year old for reckless op. on private property. He had been playing Grand Theft Auto all day and decided he wanted some food from Taco Bell. The problem is, he had absolutely no idea how to drive, and certainly not a stick shift. He stole his mom's manual Astro Van, was banging it through the gears, then rolled it over in the parking lot. On top of all that, he was drunk also.

lol, I don't get to hear enough of those stories

  2. triple-shot venti non-fat soy mocha-choca-poke-a-latte.

    Mmmmm, I love those.

Seriously though, this morning was particularly bad. I usually make it to work incident free, but today I had 3 different people that were unaware that I was right next to them.

Maybe it was the time of day. I usually ride in at 7am, but today it was 9am.

  3. Agreed. I guess I just feel I get more out of the shifter because I use it most of the time on the street. And the few times I do track days (~two a year), I am mid-pack novice and don't ride hard enough to actually take advantage the suspension upgrades (front and rear) that I have. I have them just because I want them and because I feel they are going to be a little more forgiving than stock if I were to "run out of talent".

  4. U use your quickshifter more than suspension ? :wtf:
wat. you mean all those bumps you don't use your suspension?

    What I'm saying is:

If I want to do clutchless, on-throttle up shifts (which I do like to do ) the stock shifter is not capable of doing that, where the QS is.

If I want to go over a bump, the stock suspension was capable of the act of compressing and rebounding the forks, it does not require a full Ohlins setup to manage that.

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass, but the QS is more of a discernible difference than upgraded suspension.

  5. When I was in 6th grade (41 yo now) my friend and I rode our bikes to campus from Worthington. We were having lunch in the 2 story McDs on campus when I thought I could throw a pickle in one of the hanging plants from the 2nd story. Well, I missed and it fell on some guys table below. He came up and asked who threw it. My friend ratted me out and the dude punched me in the face.

I cried like a bish, (well, a 11 year old one). I have to throw this out there, too. There were 2 CPDs sitting 10 ft from us and they did nothing. They probably thought I deserved it and had a good chuckle.

My point is how times have changed. First, I would NEVER let my 6th grader ride a bike to campus and second, shit like this has always happened, and still happens all time. You just always get to hear about it now because of our over-saturated media world.

  6. They have to "copy" the UK version. It is like going to mcdonalds and complaining because they didn't come up with a new name for the big mac. I mean, They just copied the other mcdonalds. If it is Top Gear, then it is Top Gear, just a new one down the street with cleaner bathrooms.

    As far as the hosts...

Tanner - he has been doing shows for too long now. He's not a natural, but he's better than that idiot Paul Tracy (which I REALLY hope is not the Stig)

Rutledge Wood - shows promise an an entertaining figure

Adam Ferrara - seems to be trying too hard to be someone that he is not

The biggest problem is they will have is having their hands tied by the all-mighty advertising dollar to give honest reviews of cars we'll never own. Which is what makes the UK version so good. Hearing that so-and-so-supercar has massive understeer just like my 01 Buick.

I would have liked to see the ill-fated 2008 version with Adam Carolla, Tanner Foust and Eric Stromer.
