Dude are you using Exarch's keyboard too? I would suggest reading the thread about track days and the threads. Also if the events are all handled differently but I would suggest reading their structure and policies on their websites as well. You don't really just show up and ride anywhere. Bike's have ot be prepped, you need leathers, etc. You don't just show up and ride. Just want to make sur eyou know what you are getting yourself into etc.

Yeah hence why I wasn't impressed either. BUT, these have an inner booty so there was no change at all of any pavement burns etc. The ankle was more sore from the bike being on top of it, but not really the boots fault. Sorry I dont know how to post pics on here, and won't be dragging the boots out anytime other than the track, they went right into the bag. But they are solid and looks fine to me.

Hey bud, take a look at the sticky at the top of this section. There's a complete checklist by CBRJess. There's also a thread about the Beaver weekend started so I'd recommend posting in there if you have ?s.

FACT, or head out 83 and hit up the Banana Peel just south of New Concord. Best Reuben I've ever had.

As some may know I went down at Putnam in the cluster fuck of an event with MCRC or whatever, and ended up blowing out my brand new SuperTechR's, wore through some leather and actually had the zipper fail both. This was a slow low side and I was definitely not impressed with the way they held up at first. However Theresa was able to fix them to last the rest of the weekend and I made it 10 sessions or whatever fine. I contacted AStar Monday following the event and was asked to email them pictures and a brief scenario as to what happened which I did. The person I worked with Freddie told me that my boot could be repaired free of charge if I just paid shipping to them in CA. I sent them out the following day over night from work and received them back today repaired. Their repairs included sewing a nice piece of leather where I had worn through the previous, and removing the old zipper and placing a new one in. I put them on today to try them out and they are working fine. They do not have the exact same appearence as they have been down BUT the funtionality is what matters and the fact they did it for FREE is what makes me so happy. This is truly the best customer service a company could offer and I am very happy to wear all AStar gear, boots, suit, and gloves. I will continue to support companies that support racers and feel this is a prime example. A+ to A*!!

If you are good for that weekend I won't be there but I can give them to Craig or Cox and they can handle it I am sure. You got at me first so sounds like we are on the same page bro.

This had me thinking too because if I ran the 600 SBK, I wouldn't get lapped so many times But for real, I was thinking about the classes, seems like there'd be a better chance to actually do well for me in this kinda race. May look into adding that too now that I'm thinking about it. -

Finally, is the HOG coming? I didn't get a scooter yet, or I can just ride Nut to Butt with Craig I guess. He already said it's fine. Who's trailer are we playing hide the soap in? OR can we take turns? -
Son of a bitch forgot to mention to turn the power off when I replaced the part today and I shocked myself. It did kind of create a hard on so the fiance' liked it. But I called to make sure everything was good, and he reminded me after I replaced the bad part to turn off the power lol. Im a ree-ree, Ill admit it.

Friday, Saturday(Int), Racing Sunday Mini 20 and possibly 600 race 1. I want to try some sprints this year, most likely not the first round, but thinking soon. Planning to stay at the track as of right now, but Saturday may go see some friends West Cleveland and stay there like last time I was at Nelson. -
Motoseries PIRC (beaverun) trackday weekend
madcat6183 replied to blue03636's topic in Track is Crack
Thats where my heads at brother! 75+110 for the mini 20 is less than anywhere else so Nelson is going to be happening often this season. Especially with planning to run Friday too. -
I didnt read the screw your boss thread, will tomorrow though, I can only guess it is fucking epic. BUT, working 2 jobs just doesn't work unless you have a boss that is totally understanding. It sounds like if the other thread delivers like I am sure it will, then you knew ahead of time he didn't give 2 fucks what you had planned to work with the other job. As a reminder, normally having 1 FT job is a good thing, a 2nd PT job is good too, BUT your 1st FT job obviouslly gets priority. If that means calling off the PT job at the last minute to make whatever training it is, even with a days notice, you do it. The FT job pays benefits etc. PT doesn't. I'm a corp. puppet like IP said and I fucking hate it, however it pays me well, and it's entry level, meaning advancement is there. I do what I have to do, and then I leave. I worked a PT job, for a while too and they asked me to work several times I said no because I knew my work was not done at FT job. You get it done, you miss the PT job, you do what you have to do. Also I pray that you don't post all this shit from your work PC through the day, because if you did/do, then you got yourself fired. Even reading it while signed in etc. Trust me, they are watching.

Motoseries PIRC (beaverun) trackday weekend

Wow. Craigypoo? -
Wanted to bump this up. Just talked to them about getting my swingarm spool hold put back on, and they quoted me over hte phone and were really friendly. Said he could get me in right away. Told him I wasn't in a hurry but figured I wanted to support the local guys too. Also said Larry's personal Ohlins guy does all their Ohlins supsension work at the shop and would be willing to swap my spring in the rear and work my fronts too so he can help set everything up for my weight because Im fat and the kid before me wasn't.
-
Fixed it. JK man, Airplane ride would be dope. I'd recommend going over Hocking or Lake Erie. My friend flies to Port Clinton Airport and then out to the islands all the time. Well until he got some Gov't contract shooting all the wetlands and stuff down south. Now I never see him
-
SJC, you shoulnd't have a 2 layer tear off, being that your place was built around the same time as mine. Also dude, you might want to talk to Grapesmuggler about an AC tune up. Did mine yesterday and found a few things. Also taught me a few things to help maintain and ensure my AC unit lasts longer. Some things I never did/knew, but will definitely prolong life and save some $$ on electricity.
-
Dude, come on. Why didn't you talk to me yesterday. My neighbor/friend is an instructor (ex military paratrooper), and is always trying to get me to go to Lancaster with him to go. Get at me.
-
Yep, pretty legit.
-
Just had Joe leave the house, showed up right at 7pm per agreed upon time, and was out by a little after 8pm. Found a bad capacitor that was slowing the AC start up and only running at 1/2 power. Told me it would be 80 to pay someone to come change it, or I could buy it online for 5, I actually got it delivered online for 8.50 shipped. Showed me how to install it, and saved me 72 bucks. Not to mention even with a coupon a tune up is over 75 PLUS weekend costs because I don't get home until 6pm or later. Then we went outside and he talked to me about my AC unit because it had been replaced, and showed me a few things. 1 to help the motor last longer, and another to help with coil cleaning which we did and it definitely cleaned out some shit that I couldn't even imagine being there. I would guess that will make a huge difference since the coils are obviously huge in cooling. 50.00 well spent and I highly recommend him.

Oh whats that?? They were at Jennings testing the Weekend we were all there, that's what! Actually their rig was parking in out lot when we woke up to head to our private Jennings day. Hoping they rock it out!!

Also for reference, David Gray beat Ricky Chimi at Putnam for the MCRA event Saturday on these, and took 3rd Sunday after maybe staying up a tad too late with us the night before. Not to mention that's running pump gas to race fuel too. These things offer a ton of grip for sure!
