  1. I have MS SQL running as a VMware (4.1) VM. No issues. As people have said before, make sure you have your I/O planned out, and make sure your VM's don't cause swapping (page file) and you should be OK. Memory Ballooning is a good feature but can be an issue with too much RAM assigned to a guest because there might be a performance hit reclaiming that (shared) RAM. http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/perf-vsphere-memory_management.pdf On Over allocating... I don't do it. I would like to talk about over allocating maybe in a different thread.
  2. I don't need this because I have the Galaxy Nexus. The real web on this huge screen with pinch to zoom is incredible... I will donate $20 for those who need it though..
  3. +1 At least she is honest.
  4. Holy crap! I'm amazed and pissed at the same time!
  5. Like http://www.gimp.org/? Or something else in mind?
  6. So, what did happen?

  8. Ouch... Well that sucks. I can kind of see how that happened though. He starts to turn left (like a bicycle) but the gyroscopic effect confused him, pushing the top of the bike right, causing him to freeze. He didn't know to counter-steer.
  9. That guy reminds me of Ben Carr. Every show is like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KH2eJF9szWw
  10. http://www.slashgear.com/developer-reveals-hidden-carrier-iq-smartphone-app-logging-everything-you-do-30198935/ Apparently "Carrier IQ" can be uninstalled. I was a bit relieved to read that Verizon doesn't use it. ...And, the Nexus doesn't (shouldn't) have it. It's NOT part of android. It's a (carrier) app that runs on android.
  11. There is a trend starting here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/apple/8912714/Apple-iTunes-flaw-allowed-government-spying-for-3-years.html & http://www.intomobile.com/2011/11/30/carrier-iq-code-spotted-ios/
  12. Hey Casper, Do you know how you guys are configuring your vSwitches? I'm a bit confused on a topic..
  13. I get that feeling too. But the alternatives don't give me warm fuzzies either... I'm not going to trust MS to do it. Virtualbox?
  14. Shouldn't HA or FT kick the vmachines over to another host? Throw that host in the dumpster, slap in your stand-by, vicfg-cfgbackup -l C:\<backup.txt> your saved config back into the new host, go home and sleep. lol Your saying something happened to the vCenter database?
