  1. I got a holster made at Survival Tactics on E. Main next to Jegs in Retnoldsburg. They look just like the crossbreeds but cost 20 less and got mine in less than 24 hours.

Since your so close I'd go in and take a look around.

  2. Got my AR not very long ago.

    Mega A4 upper and lower

    DD 16" CL Barrel

RRA Gas Block w/ Top Pic Rail

    RRA Chrome BCG

Armalite LPK (Might Change my Trigger)

    RRA Charging Handle (Might Change)

Magpul CTR Stock Kit w/ DSGArms Buffer

    Magpul MOE Handguard

    Magpul MIAD Grip

    Burris MTAC 1-4 for optics.

Found the optics at a good price.

Just need to get my scope sighted in and get the sling on it and a light.

I got it out to the range but was only shooting with some cheap red dot that I didn't spend much time zeroing in, so no real range report.

  3. You'll be okay. Only a conviction will deny the form going through. A bond forfeiture is not a conviction.

Also, possession only shows up as a minor misdemeanor so it's not something that comes back on background checks. Paraphernalia is far worse and that's I charge I would worry about having that will get your form denied.

If you don't know what it shows up as on your records, you'll need to go to the courthouse and get the sheet that shows the final results. Just have the case number.

  4. The class is 12 hours and not a minute less.

For the shooting test, if you can hit a 1ft diameter from 10 ft away you will pass.

No reading is necessary before. there was a 60yr old woman in my class who had never touched a gun in her life and she passed the class.

  5. There is no Mil Spec in .308 AR Build.

I looked at doing it and it gets pretty pricey and you need to pay a lot of attention to the parts you're buying. They don't just fit together like they do for 5.56 AR platform since there is no milspec.

I would choose the AR platform over a bolt though in .308.

Another good .308 semi auto choice is the FNAR. Sub MOA gun out of the box. Only big drawback is that the only compatible mags are FNAR mags and they are $50 a piece. The bolt dissasembly/ reassembly is a PITA at first but after doing it once or twice I'm sure it can be done in less than 10 minutes.

On the plus side, it's not DI, sub moa from the box, chrome line barrel. I believe they're fluted too.

  6. SV650 has been out longer so parts are more common and cheaper. Simple supply and demand.

Easy GSXR suspension swap, another one of those things you can find everywhere. You can run GSXR 600 wheel on the rear with some modification.

I loved mine. Great in the twists.

  7. Anyone planning on doing any outdoor shooting this weekend? I still need to get the new irons zeroed on my AR, and would like to get the scope on my 30-06 zeroed at 100+ yards.

I'll be at Briar on Saturday with a group of people. Getting my new AR out. 450 yard range. 30 dollars for the day or 10 an hour.

  8. There are those apps on smartphones now where you can dial a number and have it show up as someone else number. I don't know how it would appear on the bill as an incoming number. I'm sure you could get a print out from your wireless/ telephone company and find out where it's coming from, I'm sure nothing would be done about it though.

I'd be a little worried about how they know as much information about you as they do.

  9. We have more than one firearm that accepts these mags and I'm looking for mags for another person as well.

I only need 2-3 mags to take to the range, which I have covered. I just want more to throw in my BOB and have extras for whatever reason.

  10. I asked to see if anyone here may have ordered 300 or so PMags or what not and had 20 or so they would be willing to part with.

Why would I probably not be buying 20 or 30 mags, is that too many for me to have? I'm obviously concerned about the extra 3 dollars per mag because I'm purchasing 20 or 30 mags. If I was getting 3 mags then the extra 3 dollars per mag would not bother me, that would cancel out shipping online.

And I've spoken with Dale in the past about products from his store. He's very helpful.

  11. So how do you know what lower you have when its stamped something else?

If you google search or look on ar15.com and a few other sites you can find a thread that's fairly updated as to who makes what, and a variety of ways that you could tell the difference if you had all of them sitting in front of you.
