  1. Here's some pics of my buddies CE R1 after some of our powdercoating. He was doing something to the left bar from the clipon which is why it is off. Rob at Voo Doo is almost done with his exhaust. He is getting the swingarm powdercoated black next Wed too. There are also a couple more pics of the RC, CE R1 and a buddies GSXR1000. Some pretty good looking older ladies! BTW wakeboard boat in the background is for sale if anyone is interested.

  3. Haha, I never thought I'd get a gsx-r have never really been a big fan. It was just a good deal and I figured I'd try it out. It has the following

    -swingarm extenders

    -rear stainless brake line

    -lowering link

    -Brock slip-on

    - -2, +2 sprockets

    -air brushed undertail

    -fender eliminator blacked out signals

    -frame sliders

-kill switch for racing that goes around your wrist

Guy said he had it on the track a couple of times and made some mid 9 sec passes (I don't know if this is true just what he said.)I don't know anything about drag racing. He said when he first got it he had it dynoed before he did anything to it and it put down 150rwhp.

My plans are back to stock suspension settings, take off swingarm extenders, powdercoat levers, rearsets and rear sprocket black. Change the front sprocket to -1 so it's -1, +2. Get a stock black undertail. Probably sell the exhaust and get something different. I've heard Brock's put down some great numbers but without the stretched look it might be out of place. I'd like to see what this thing will do on the twisties as that's the kind of riding I like to do. Probably get some front stainless lines and throw a power commander on as I can't really afford the Bazzaz right now. All suggestions welcome

  4. I got rid of the R6 and picked this up the other day. I figured the RC needed another friend in the garage and an 06 GSX-R 1000 would be a great candidate. I'm not into the whole drag bike stretched look but it was a great deal and a clean bike. I'm definitely going to change some things on it so keep an eye out for updates. Headed to bed, I'll post more on it later.

  5. http://www.motoxoutlet.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1193

Look at the price of the 180 series.

Couldn't resist...not a Pilot Power but a Dunlop Qualifier....I'm pretty sure this is not the right price, but there is a guy locally in Wooster that keeps PP & DQ tires stocked and he said he will match any price. I know my buddy printed this out + shipping and paid some ridiculous low price for a 180 qualifier. I couldn't believe that the guy selling the tires didn't actually call the company to verify that was the correct price.

I've run the PP and DQ's and love them both. I'm anxious to try these Pirelli Supercorsas I threw on the other day.

  6. 2004 Honda CBR 1000rr

    Bike is in great condition

    around 7k miles

    Clean title

Basically all stock with the exception of the flush mount turn signals and a smoked integrator tail light that is uninstalled. I will try and get the tail light installed soon, but at the very least it will be included with the sale.

    Rear tire about 90% life

    Front tire about 40-50% life

No guys/gals this is not another bike that I have for sale...I don't have that much dimp.....this is a buddies bike. He's selling everything because he's trying to get into the U.S. Marshal's.

    Located in Wooster,OH i.e. BFE

Call Brandon he's a good guy and wants to sell pretty soon.

  7. Benyen...yes I did the powdercoating myself.

Looks good man!, Great job on the PC!

Thanks, not quite the quality of your PC'ing from the look of MattKatz pics....those Marchesini's look awesome. Any and all advice regarding powder coating would be appreciated. I love tips and hints to make anything I do better. I really just started and have been reading as much as I can and frequenting different powder coating forums.

Wow, the R6 feels so different from the RC. I love the RC but the R6 is a mean little bike too. I figured the dark wrap would look pretty good because the mid-pipe was polished and looked out of place with the rest of the black parts. I feel like the wheels should be powdercoated too, maybe a deep red transparent to match the red R6 decal on the side fairing or red spokes with a black lip. Link to color.....

Any imput regarding the wheel color would be appreciated too. Thanks for the comments and compliments... I'll post up some pictures of my buddies R1. We did the wheels in 95% mirror white...they look awesome.

  8. Haha yup I'm not a fan of the weave either, I like the twill weave on the fender and clutch cover of my RC. I'm thinking about getting a high mount hindle (as I found one for a great price) and getting the headers to make a full exhaust (if I end up keeping it.) It came with the bike so that's what I'm working with right now. I have stainless brake lines and 50T sprocket on the way. Probably gonna drop a tooth in the front too. I've got it for sale already though. I'm always buying and selling bikes....I guess it's a habit.

  9. I sold my other R6 about a month ago and picked up basically the same bike, just in a little nicer condition. I finished up powdercoating my rearsets, levers, passenger pegs and rear sprocket. I also heat wrapped the mid-pipe. It turned out pretty good. It was fun to ride a 600 again, after being on the pig for so long (no offense to the pig...always my #1 love.)

  10. Good looking RC aradmaro, I really like the powdercoateding. Did you do them yourself or a local shop?

Sorry about the delayed response, yes I did the powdercoating myself. My buddy has a shop where he does powdercoating and he let me take my hand at it. It was super easy and can be done by anyone with an oven for curing and a powdercoat gun. Also, the guns that don't require an air compressor actually work pretty good and can be picked up for relatively cheap. A blasting cabinet is nice to have too, but not absolutely necessary before powdercoating, just make sure the parts are as clean as you can get them and free of any oils or residue.

Also, I ended up picking up another bike. It's exactly like the silver and black 03 R6 that I just got rid of, but this one has a two bros carbon exhaust, flush mount turn signals, rear fender eliminator kit, brand new tires and is absolutely mint with zero scratches. I have the rearsets, passenger pegs, levers and rear sprocket off already and I'm going to powdercoat them black this week. I'll post up pictures once the PC'ing is done.

  12. Thanks for saving the thread, I almost sent it downhill again. Last night I met a pretty cool guy out of canton that had some bikes for sale. I looked at a 04 zx10 and a 06 gsxr 600. I thought about street fightering out the zx10 as it was already 3/4 of the way there. I have a soft spot for the nekkidness haha. The gsxr 600 needed a new engine which he was selling with the bike and he had his race bike to be (another gsxr600) which he was willing to negotiate all the fairings and lights into the deal. I just couldn't pull the trigger on either bike. He was a nice enough guy and seemed very open and honest, I just get bad feelings about former stunt bikes. He also had some other bikes he was willing to sell, a 06 1000rr... looked awesome and a 05 1000gsxr(he wanted to keep this one but was willing to sell it for the right price.) I couldn't believe he had this many bikes and was married. He has had every bike including a RC51 as evidenced by the two tanks he had hanging on his garage wall. Haha, he said they were kind of heavy in the turns on the track and not quite his liking.....I furrowed a brow and said "I own a 2000 Honda RC-51 how dare you!" Haha not really but I told him I loved mine.

Also, if anyone hears of any good deals within Ohio or the neighboring states please let me know. I really think I'd like to try and pick up a 06 R6 preferrably with a clean title but we'll see if that's possible with the cash I have to spend. Reuben has one at 35motorsports but it' not currently running because of a neutral problem that he is working on fixing. Also, I wouldn't be opposed to any other ridiculous good deals on bikes....divorcee's needing to sell or recent job lossees who need to liquidate assets.
