    Finally!

I think the proficiency req for the one I took in Springfield was along the lines of 'don't kill anyone at the range' lol -VanDy
  6. Yea it is!! I have no wear near that amount of creativity lol Ninjanick, at least I wouldn't get helmet hair!! -VanDy
  7. Here's a pic of the helmet. I like the design, wanted the black model, but settled for this one, might go matte black and find someone that can pin stripe -VanDy
  8. I'm too cheap to buy a new helmet when mine is only a year old and never down. However, it's mostly white and my 1 piece is black.. Anybody ever painted their helmet? Will be a flat black, simple and classy I plan on taping off the snell\DOT sticker, so it's still visible. I know to use fine grit sandpaper to scuff the surface to help the new paint adhere, will prime too. Any other tips? Thanks guys and gals! -VanDy
  9. That's my line!! But seriously yes get them! My gear depends on my ride. Commuting is jeans, jacket, gloves, boots and helmet. 'spirited riding' is 1 piece leathers, back protector, gloves, boots, and helmet. (chest protector is next buy) Disclaimer: if I'm just going to fill up so I don't have to before commuting to work ill go in whatever I have on.. (flame on, but I'm just keeping it real) Buy all the gear you can afford and wear it! 1k in gear is better than eleventeen thousand in hospital bills!! -VanDy
  10. My commute car is an 01 ford escort, 35-40mpg all the time! A/C blows ice cold, great car! Beats driving my truck to cinci everyday!! She ain't pretty, but she gets the job done -VanDy
  11. Looks like armor for a knight! Chain mail or whatever.. -VanDy
  12. I'm late to the party I see, good looking shadow! I would have recommended a Ducati 750 Supersport like mine!! Not a lot of power, corners really well, (I'm slowing getting to its potential) and an air cooled V-Twin that is torquey but not much HP. Glad you have a ride!!! -VanDy
  13. Wish I had the space for her!! -VanDy

I'm stuck staying in the garage tonight, but I might be able to do next weekend! -VanDy
  19. I had my GF doing figure 8's in no time, no previous riding experience. Just start off as simple as possible. I turned the idle up enough that she wouldn't have to worry about using the throttle and the clutch at first until she got used to using the clutch. Then when she mastered the clutch (going in straight lines) we added turns in my parents yard, then put idle back to normal and had her put it all together! -VanDy
  20. Nah, douche bag maybe lol Just wanted to make sure it wasn't being thrown out as a measurement of skill... -VanDy
  21. Check out post #14 of this thread, I said I would when I got home.... -VanDy
  22. And just because it's my lunch break... Isn't tire size also a factor? For instance my 160 is a lot closer to being a U shape, when a 180 is more of a ( shape? -VanDy
  23. Jschaf, Upon further reflection of your post, I realized that you were supporting my original post. Thanks! -VanDy
