Bunker down for a week then grab all the essential things you need and get out of the city. I keep 15 gals of gas at the house at all times and anywhere between 20-30 gallons of water. Have plenty of dried canned goods also. We also keep the dried seeds from our garden for the next year so those would come in handy for long term. And of course the guns and ammo along with the camping stuff.

That's alright my 6 year old just blew the guys at the gun shop away last Friday when we were picking up my gun. We walked up to the gun cases and he looks in an says wow dad look at all the 1911's they have. The guy was shocked to say the least. He was also impressed my older boys pointed out the scar and m4's they also taunted me by pointing out the m1a I drool over..

Yeah trust me im not happy. But the gun shop and ruger should make it right. Now I just hope its not gone for a long time? I have more then one ccw so its not my only carry option. I bought it more as a b.u.g and for summer carry.

Check your front sight the newer ones have a set screw mine did not. Scruit I love the gun its accurate and groups well. I would still give it a good review besides the sight issue.

Well good news/ bad news from my range report. Put 150 rnds down range with out a glitch. Groups were nice at 21 feet. Recoil was lighter then I thought it would be. Bad news is I noticed my groups were moving low right? Checked the sights the rear had come loose and moved. No big deal I pulled out a allen key moved the sights back center and tightened them till I almost broke the allen key. Next two mags were back on target. All the sudden they started to go left. checked the rear sights tight no movement. Checked the front sights they were almost half way out to the left. Even worse news no set pin in the front. pushed them back with my finger. 7 shots later they moved back. Stopped at the shop I bought it at on the way home, their smith took one look says it has to go back to ruger. Hope they fix it and get it back soon I loved the way it handled and grouped. Seems like it will be a great gun once I get the front sight issue taken care of. Anyne has any experience with rugers service dept before?

Is it easier to just buy the complete upper in .22lr then just the bolt? I have seen the uppers for like $325.

I have plenty of 22 ammo and Rifles. But it would be awsome to be able to drill with my AR and save the money on ammo.

Glad to hear it worked out well for you I did not get a chance to go shoot today. I might try to make it out on monday.

Only thing I am not liking so much is the front sight. It is a push up one and I kinda like the push button flip up ones. Let me know when you guys are planning on the next Shoot. I could use some of your guys experience.
