  1. I never said anything about these other factors you've mentioned. While I don't disagree with you on most of it, I do on the number of riders. Basic Murphy's Law is, if it can go wrong, it will. With that, the more riders there are, the greater the potential for something to go wrong. I'm just sayin... As far as dedication level to a ride, some days it's there. Some days it's not. Hopefully, I won't have other obligations when this ride happens. It sounds like a good route.
  2. tklatti- funny coincidences: my son lives in Beloit with his mom on 2nd St and I used to have the Nicky Hayden RC, too. -hmph-

    Hot Bikes

I would've guessed this but, thanks for tuning in and confirming it. After learning from RSVDon that the Ducati's are so hot they're quickly dropping down on the list. Love the sport tuned Twins, and they're sexy and agile but not sure about sacrificing that much comfort. The GSX-R 750 and Speed Triple have risen toward the top. Obviously, there's other criteria we consider when getting a bike but, I remember this being so annoying when doing any other riding than balls out tearing up the back roads.

No, not at all. And, it's about how they feel not, the operating temp. I've ridden both SV650 & 1000, and other bikes, and to me they don't feel anywhere near as hot as the RC did.

So the memory comes to mind of how friggen hot my RC-51 felt under me in temperatures other than anything below 70 degrees as, I contemplate the idea of getting a new bike. And, with this I thought it might be helpful to hear some input from those that have ridden any of the following bikes: -Ducati 1198 -Ducati 898 -Triumph Speed Triple -Triumph 675 -Suzuki GSX-R 750 Hail/Flame away...
  9. more than 10 could get a bit dodgy oh yea, i also vote, new thread my .02
  10. !!! 437 miles of hardcore, interracial, gangbanging for approximately 12 hours?!?!?! WOW, count me in! It might be better to not indulge in these pleasures of the flesh on the day of the Lord though
  11. Hey there everyone. Great to finally do a group ride after three years of interupted plans. Even better that it was on some decent roads with a spirited pace. Jim-thanks for trying to link up and sorry for running late Todd-i appreciate the offer to wait a minute for me to fuel up at circle-k. good job with getting everyone on the same page. kudos for making sure your baby had eye protection...hahahaha Coshocton/Columbus crew-i didnt really get a chance to talk to any of you but, thanks a lot for leading on your roads. it's been three years since I lived in Virginia and really had a chance to wind it out and lean it over. i can humbly say that my skills have diminished from lack of use. ah well, plenty of room for improvement and reason to get out there more, again. looking forward to riding with all of you again. i was surprised to see as many riders from up this way btw...i'm glad i headed out when i did. as soon as i parked, sat on my porch, and cracked a beer the rain drops started. i got hit for about 10 minutes going home but must've been on the edge of it. route home was 83 > 643 > 93 > 250 > 94 > some other roads pointing north. i should've just gone further down 36 to 93. next time Everyone else, it was great to meet you all popsicles huh? damn, i always miss the fun stuff
  12. btw...who else besides me has not met or ridden with any of this crew before? i was assuming this was an open ride to anyone. don't wanna be the guy that invites himself to the party
  13. Hey! That sounds good. Im on the east end of lakewood near madison and bird-town. There's an AM/PM (BP) at Warren and Madison we could meet at. Anywhere is good for me but, that's the first that came to mind. Let me know where and I'll be there at 7. I'm on a (dirty) blue SV1000s. Hopefully i'll be early enough to slug down a cup of coffee before heading out. John
  14. Ok, in order to save me the time of reading 300+ posts, can someone fill me in with location/time of link up points? I'm in Lakewood and would like to get in on this ride.

  18. i know west river road! if you want we should get together and then head southeast toward better roads. the part that sucks is the flat straights to get there
  19. Damn, I always miss the good drama
  20. Didn't make it to QSL until almost 2:30. Guess I was a bit late. Ah well, I'll try and get out sooner next time. I'm off today and tomorrow so, I am definitely going to get some seat time with this weather.
