  1. Have fun guys. After the last chilly morning ride, I know I definitely need to get some warmer gear...gloves being the most important part. My fingers were completely numb and that's not good when all my controls for the bike are on the handle bars. I need to find some that are warm but not bulky so I can still feel my controls through them.
  2. Thanks man. I gotta add an extra 100 miles me since I am on the West siiiieeeed of Columbus. Still debating on if I wanna go. That last ride was 290 miles...and I was BEAT on those last 50 miles. Hmmmm.
  3. Phil, get on that route map buddy! I wanna take a look...
  4. bummer man...but yea I understand. I'm not trying to ride that hard tomorrow. Sounds like you boys are. I guess it's onto plan B...whatever that may be.
  5. Talkin to me? Planning to do this b/c it's closer to home.
  6. Anyone willing to meet me at my house in Galloway in the morning? If so, PM me for directions. I'm not big on riding alone since I can't walk. Thanks!
  7. Enough about weight, air flow and comfort...I hit a TREE head first while wearing my Shoei RF1000 and it saved my life. Didn't crack, just caved in and the inside is still perfect. There's my reccomendation.
  8. I'm down like a clown Charley b-bb-rrrrown.
  9. I really wanna go on a ride Saturday but I'm not sure I wanna do 150+miles. Hmmm. yea, where are you located?
  10. Any idea how long this ride will be??
  11. I couldn't view the cliffs but what I gathered was that he was paralyzed and decided to commit suicide? There's no one else here who knows how much being paralyzed sucks more than me. My whole fucking life was flipped upside down and I'm still trying to get things back in some order. God knows I've had many dark thoughts of my own and I'm sure I will have many more in my lifetime...I just hope I can stick it out and continue to find things I can still enjoy. I personally don't think my life is worth ending...I just hate to hear that others like me do. I've talked to other guys in my shoes who want to commit suicide and it's tough. I can't say I blame them for how they feel but common! There are so many people worse off than me...who can't think, speak, take care of themselves, etc. Sometimes knowing it could be worse is what motivates me.
  12. Thanks John for the kind words and a great ride! All you guys made for a good ride and I am really glad I came. I was a little apprehensive about a ride that long but you guys made plenty of stops and waited up for me so it was all good. By the time the bike was back in the garage, I had logged 288.7 miles. Not bad for a cripple!! It's amazing how freeing it felt to ride some of those roads. There were several times I forgot I was paralyzed. Good times...definitely wanna do it again sometime. Oh man, my arms and shoulders were pretty beat. Still, I am thankful for touring bars and bar risers...there's no way I could handle my sport bars for that long. Yep, me too...I learned that gravel on the road scares the shit out of me. I took it easy yesterday but I still had fun in the twisties. I've decided I am perfectly happy with the power/torque of my 650. Still puts a smile on my face!
  13. I'm planning to come tomorrow and I won't be riding crazy aggressive. I'm looking forward to a good ride though! Is anyone planning to bring a GoPro/camera mounted on their helmet/bike? Just curious.
  14. I WANNA RIDE THIS ROUTE SO BAD!! Not nearly as long as the other rides you've done. How many of you will there be? Everybody planning to ride balls out fast??
  15. HAHAHA, she puts up with a lot of shit so I will keep her around.
