  1. Eric, any updates on an expected opening date yet?
  2. The store isn't open yet but hopes to be opening sometime this week (Wednesday or later). The range will most likely open within a week after the store. They are having HVAC equipment issues that are delaying things. I shot there today (CCW class) and I had hours to browse the store and complex. It will be a nice place once finished. Just a heads up on the store; they have tons of 9mm and 38s ammo but no 22LR. There will be a purchase limit. Prices on anything at this point are unknown/unset. From what I was told and overheard, they have 15 S&W Shields all in 40 caliber, some Springfield XDS 45acp, 5 S&W MP-15-22s but with the large mag restricted down to 10 rounds (removable with modification). Pretty sure they have SW MP15 as well. They still have a lot of merchandise to unbox but they have a huge wall dedicated to Desantis holsters. Owners seem like great people. Ranges prices posted on the website look reasonable. It will be nice to have a new option in town, and closer for me!
  3. Mellow Mushroom has a decent draft selection too, but more of a family restaurant.
  4. I got the bike out too. Was a nice day for a lunch BBQ ride. 140 miles for BBQ is a great Saturday!
  5. Mad Mex on OSU campus. Half price drafts and wings during happy hour.
  6. Thanks for the input! Great tips there Adam, really appreciate it. Also, Tim, thanks for those links. Now I am even more excited.
  7. I'm thinking about riding down to Bourbon County on a Friday, go on a couple distillery tours on a Saturday, then head back on Sunday. Sounds like it could be a fun short weekend trip. Does anyone have any suggestions/experience on where to stay and who to use as a guided tour/transportation? Right now I am leaning towards the Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve distilleries. I don't want to be doing bourbon tastings and have to worry about riding the bike afterwards so I was hoping to find some sort of tour bus transportation. Hopefully someone on here has some experience doing this and can make recommendations! Thanks
  8. I might join you if I decide to take Friday off. PM me your phone number and I'll call you if I'll make it.
  9. If you like BBQ, try Rt. 62 BBQ in Johnstown. It's my favorite around Columbus. I haven't had Pig Iron though, sounds good.
  10. I live near the Hilliard area like yourself. That storm was intense!
  11. Probably going out this weekend. I'll PM you.
  12. We should talk. I too need more motorcycle friends, and it would be cool to meet another Tiger owner. There aren't too many of us around here.
  13. There are plenty of upright comfortable sport bikes. No reason to get that cruiser just yet. I love my Tiger, it's like a big comfortable Speed Triple.
  14. It doesn't matter. Everyone is welcome. My coworker and his Harley are going. The reservation of 35 for lunch is full, but any extras can eat across the street at the deli. I've never done this ride, but I figured why not... something to do.

  16. Avon Distanzia's, front tire yes... rear tire no. Thanks for the offer on the TTR250! It looks like you guys had a blast. I ended up going camping from Thursday to Sunday and never got a chance to check this topic. Glad you all had a great time. Hopefully I can make it next year. The 17th sounds good too, but I am doing the GEBN Haunted Legends ride that day. Have fun!
  17. I can't find any dirt tires for the Tiger. They just don't exist in those sizes. The closest thing that would remotely help are the Pirelli Scorpion Sync's but I can't justify the money when they aren't needed right now. My new rear tire isn't being delivered till Monday. Have fun and be safe, perhaps I can make it next time.
  18. I actually thought about that. How cheap are we talking? A guy 1 mile down the road installs my tires for $25/tire (off bike). Same as Iron Pony I think, but much more convenient. My tire sizes are 120/70-17 and 180/55-17 Z-Rated.
  19. I want to do this, but I got a flat tire on Sunday. I plugged it, but there seems to be a slow leak! I ordered a new tire, but probably wont be here and installed in time. Not too keen on taking a brand new tire off road either. I think I may have to pass on this one.
  20. What kind of tires do you guys have on your stroms? I have a capable bike, but currently running sport touring tires and a "not so" long travel suspension.
  21. Interested too. Live near Tuttle Mall.
  22. I'm heading out Friday morning from Columbus. I didn't have a bike during the 2008 MotoGP in Indy and had to take the car. Close parking was very expensive. Last year I rode. Parking was free.
  23. Nice bike! I still want one even though I have a Tiger. But then again, I wouldn't mind a Truxton either. You are going to love the new pipes.

    Ride June 14th

I saw those guys pass by too. They passed me and my friend while we were at the BP at 62 and 13.
  25. I tried them a long time ago. I think I did 2-3 and had to stop. It is some seriously hot shit.
