  1. You should go to Prague and just walk around the city and the clubs. Women are ridiculously hot over there, and there's a 3/1 ratio. So is this the thread where we all play armchair economist and bitch about the country's economy while we plot about what kind of motorcycle we want to buy while under/not funding our retirement and not putting anything away for savings? Let me hit you with a clue by four - Macroeconomics on a country scale (especially a country as complex as a first world) isn't the same as sitting at your kitchen table and making a personal/family budget.
  2. you could have tried a subtle roll into a Fresh Prince, I haven't seen a good one of those in a while.
  3. some people just don't appreciate a good rickrolling. jbot, you had me at never.
  4. No. Your Mexican privileges have been revoked. Bad will be around shortly to collect your sombrero Judd, you know what needs to be done here.
  5. Graduating from a 02 Katana to a 03 600RR, the biggest thing I noticed and had to adjust to was the throttle response from carb to FI. It's really important to maintain discipline on that and no be an idiot, FI responds immediately(ish) to throttle input where carbs will give you some time to think about what you're about to do. The first things I did to mine when I got it were putting on some Bridgestone BT-016's, SS lines front/rear, replaced the brake pads front/rear (I put EBC HH's on there, if I had to do it again I'd probably get Vesrah's) and replaced the front rotors (one was warped, replaced with Alth's).
  6. now you got something against techno? v4junkie, let's jump this fool.
  7. You got something against my brother Kaeden?
  8. I read that three times and I still have no idea what you are trying to say.
  9. try the search button. There was a pretty in-depth conversation with jst2fst not too long ago.
  10. it's funny being a northern monkey, I saw this large green pepper and I'm thinking "green pepper, should be yummy and not spicy at all". I'm not brave enough to drink Mexican milk, but I really, really wanted some. If you are in a place that has molcajete soup, get that shit, especially with beef or carne asada.
  11. From what I've eaten down here in Agua Prieta, DAMN good tamales.
  12. Ah yes, the group of people gathered around to grumble how the Obama and the OMGLEFTMEDIABBQ is eviscerating the country with a spork and to give brown/Mexican people the stinkeye. Well intentioned site, but when it comes down to it that's what this is all about. For those of you that are saying Libya's going to go into civil war, yummy down on this little nugget: The people shooting at the protestors aren't Libyan, but mercenaries recruited from sub-Saharan Africa, reportedly at a rate of $2k/day by one of Gadhafi's sons. Also, the ruling party is primarily made up of Sunni's who, because they are a MAJOR minority, import their troops from southern Africa. Works out for the troops in that they get paid a lot better, works out for Gadhafi in that he's got people that know who signs their checks and are loyal to him, not to the people or to a party. Also it's easier (relatively speaking) to fire on the citizens when you really have no connection to them. If there is a "civil" war, it's going to end just about the time that Gadhafi is gone. I have to imagine a similar thing is going on with the pilots, but there was just news today of a Libyan destroyer showing up in Malta as well.
  13. I agree that no one gives a fuck about Africa, and the reason for that (with notable exceptions) is that they don't give a fuck about themselves. None of these things are our problems, until we intervene and by extension make them our problems. The reason why the shitstorm ensued is the same reason why operational failures like this fail in the first place: Civilian politics interfered with military policy. If we wanted Said out he was right there, he wasn't hiding in a cave in some ridiculous terrain on a porous border with a "allied" country that we were forbidden to enter, he was right there in Mogadishu. I'm willing to bet if you were to fast forward our operations in Somalia until after 9/11 when the doctrine changed, we would be talking about that country like it was Iraq with a major invasion force, toppled government, insurgent fighting (Al-Shabab), floundering government with the resentment of it's people as a US puppet, the whole ball of wax.
  14. Wow, I haven't done this in years. I was working for Gateway back when they had PC's in OfficeMax, I secretly installed F@H on all the PC's in 4 stores.
  15. Bingo. As long as you are making payments to the BHPH, they retain the title and ownership of the car, which is what makes it so easy to repo them back if you're late on your payments.
  16. Too far man, too far. 0/10, complete lack of subtlety.
  17. The politics of this are simple: No one wants to touch it. Any government with the ability to remembers very clearly what happened to us when we tried to "fix" Somalia, and the shitstorm that ensued. Bingo. The companies that can't afford to lose their cargo are doing just that, the ones that can afford to pay the paltry (to them, everything is relative) ransoms are still using the Suez. There are a lot more of the latter than the former. Yep, because shooting indiscriminately solves everyone's problems, until your ship gets hit with a RPG. I hope the US sends you the bill for your rescue, just as much as I had hoped the US would send the other people a bill for theirs, if it had happened. Also, I hope you bring enough provisions for a LONG journey, or at the very least learn to drink your own piss. You won't be pulling into port with all those weapons onboard. Expect a nice lengthy hassle at the US border as well, even with prior proof of ownership. I kinda agree with this. It not only gives the attacking ship a governmental entity to be responsible to (and if they screw around and hold a "baiting" trip, a entity that takes responsibility) but they are obligated to bring the pirates themselves to trial. Now before everyone goes off on a tangent, I'm of the opinion that they should be tried in a maritime court under maritime law, which would mean that they would probably be executed. If enough of these happen, the perceived risk among the Somalians goes down, and these things stop.
  18. Good to see you back. What's up with the Nighthawk?
  19. I forgot about that, selling agents will lie out their teeth on what the house has and what it doesn't, as I see you are finding out. When I was looking to places to rent in German Village, I looked at a place that said it had 3 bedrooms. There were 2 bedrooms upstairs. The "third" was right next to the kitchen and had a patio door leading outside. They rationalized it by saying the in-wall storage space constituted a closet and, therefore, a bedroom. Also I'm not sure who you're using for a realtor/buyer's advocate, but keep that guy on a short leash. I ended up firing a realtor and a banker before I finally arrived on people that knew what the hell was going on. A good way to weed them out is to ask them to go through a house that you know is a complete shithole and ask them to point out the stuff that is wrong/bad. if they do a thorough job and you are comfortable with their explanation, keep'em. If you BS detector goes off and you think they're blowing smoke, fire them that day.
