  1. I think I will be doing it. I really need to get my tire mounted from a different state. Lol. This will be hard.

We'll have to leave town by 7:30. Ugh.

At least it wont be raining...

I just realized it's going to be effin cold though. The high for Saturday is 54.

  2. I wanted to let you guys know about the great customer service that was extended to me from this shop.

I was having an electrical issue with my bike (07 1000rr) that started a couple weeks ago. The 10 amp fuse on the turn signal circuit blew so I replaced it and started the bike up, only to have it go out again. I knew there was a problem at this point, so after getting some help and advice from friends and also trying to tinker with it myself with no luck, I took it to Sporty's Friday evening and dropped it off.

I got a call Saturday afternoon from the service manager Pete. He told me that my taillight had gone bad and that he thought the LED had failed because he disconnected the taillight and started the bike up and the fuse didnt blow. I decided to try and find a taillight elsewhere because they're like 130 bucks from Honda. I picked the bike up as the shop was closing and started back home. I dont believe I made it a mile before I realized the fuse had blown again. Now I was mad because I had just paid for an hour of labor and still didnt know what was wrong with the bike. I figured I would just wait it out til Monday and call them back just to let him know.

Monday morning I gave Pete a call and told him what happened. He told me to bring the bike in and he would take another stab at it. I dropped the bike off and after about three hours I got a call back from him. He said the bike was finished. Apparently the left turn signal hot wire had been rubbing against the frame on the underside of the main harness. It had rubbed through three layers of plastic before it blew the fuse. When I got to Sporty's to pick the bike up he explained all this to me. I said thank you and how much do I owe you? To my surprise, he said nothing!! He didn't charge me for replacement fuses, or wires (he had to replace the wire because it was worn really bad), and also the three hours of labor. It was easily a $200 job for free.

So I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Sporty's and I will definitely do business with them again!!!
