99 Buell Thunderbolt
Likes
Old style tuber looks
Sound
Torque (she can really pull through the gears)
Uniqueness (not too many out there)
Handling
Comfort (not a laid down crotch rocket, not a laid back cruiser)
Parts availability (MOTOR it is a Sportster motor)
Gas mileage ( 50 miles to the gallon)
Gets lots of looks
Dislikes
Parts availability (Rest of bike. There is nothing out there for tuber Buells)
No 6th Gear
Paint Shaker Vibrations ( hands go Numb on long rides)
Heat in traffic
I love my Buell. Since I only have one bike it is the perfect bike for me.
I can hang with the rockets ( only a few hundred yards back) and with the cruisers). Great handling fun bike.

So back on subject...... I want to give another huge thanks to Lost1888 for putting together a great route. It was really great getting to meet everyone. The turn out was much bigger than I ever expected. It just goes to show that NEO does have a lot of riders who are hungry for more rides and events. I am still a newbie here but it seems like in years past there were not to many "group" rides and "stuff". Maybe this year we can all jump in and make more events happen.
What he said. Great ride Lost. I was glad I could be part of it.
It was nice to finally put faces with the names. Pics to follow.

Sounds like the place to meet then.
Mike...Your meeting us in Lakewood right??
That's my plan.

Original Post Updated.
Does the Valley View QSL have an outside bar/tables?
Yes they do. there is an out side area. I assume it is open sinc they had a bike night Wednesday.
-
You guys opposed to me possibly jumping in last minute? I'd like to meet some local fellow riders because honestly I'm sick of riding by myself
That is if I can keep up with any of you - the GS doesn't pull too hard...
Just come on out. This is why we have meets. There will be all kinds of us out there. Get together and enjoy the ride.
-
IF I go again, I'll wait til a larger group of OR make it out there...
Try QSL in Sheffield Tonight. It will be warmer should bring out a few more sportbikes. There is a new thread under Northeast.
-
I'll stop in, but after 7. Can't miss a 70 degree night, in April, in Northern Ohio.
-
How about the Carabou Coffee on Detroit in Lakewood at 10:45 for whoever can make it?
I'll be there. 3 days and counting
-
If anyone wants to meet up in Lakewood and ride out let me know.
I will try to meet in Lakewood Saturday and ride up too. It depends if I have any early morning commitments.
-
Its tempting. It will depend what time I can get out. But then again it is an EMERGENCY.
-
I Love my Buell, but the exhaust is on the bottom and I like to be on top. I'll just settle for riding her until she screams for mercy.

I see everyone is taking sides. Eastsiders for the east side, westsiders for the west, southsiders for the southern suburbs. Let us not forget our friends from Columbus casting their vote for North West Virginia. You have to come up cruise the suburbs and find the right fit for you.

I am planning on getting out Friday, 72 degrees, bring it on.

Our we now pinning our Big Ten National Title hopes on Purdue ?

I'll put my Winchesters away now.

Deep down the bill may do a little good and a lot of nothing. This bill will not bring salvation to the masses. And it will not bring on Armageddon to the America. Its not a win/win or lose/lose. It may bring a little help.
You want a win/win.(hookers and beer/no cameras no lawyers).

Tough choice ZX or City X. As long as you make it out. The closer Saturday gets the more people back out. Hope to see some people show.
-
Time to get that triple out. I like all bikes but its nice to get some Triumphs and Buells and Ducs in the crowd.
-
I did not see any salt trucks on the west side of town. I don't know what it was like around 480 and south.
-
Don't get that false sense of security in group rides. . Anything can happen anywhere, anytime. One bike or twenty, be aware. RIP and thoughts to families.
-
:dunno:At this rate we should have a good route picked out by about April 4th or 5th.
I could go bankrupt at Iron Pony. There, I said it.

I make the trip from Cleveland a few times a year to go to IP. I was just their Wednesday. I easily spend 200 to three hundred a pop in there. It is usually on stuff I did not know I needed, but they had it on clearance.
