  1. Hey I just remebered my password after this long winter, and found this thread. Im in. If anyone can make a decision about what, where and when.
  2. I did not ride today. I did not see any bikes running around Cleveland today. It's one thing to be out as it gets cold. I am not going to start on a ride when its 40 degrees.
  3. So were the Mayans right? It seems to odd to be just a coincidence. Seems mighty suspicious to me.

  6. I run Lucas synthetic and an extended size K&N Filter. Been running that way for 4 years. The Buell seems to run a little cooler on hot days. I think it could have a little to do with the larger oil filter.
  7. Welcome from another "Northern" Ohio Rider. Enjoy
  8. I am waiting for my wife to come out to the garage and learn how to do her first oil change on her Sportster. The oil and filter are still on the shelf next to bike. I will give it another week before I do it.
  9. Remember no wheelies or stoppies. You do not want scare the townsfolk down there. Don't need another well written article about squids.
  10. Have to give it a couple of years to get all the bugs and glitches worked out. Then if the company is still in business. If the price is right. If wife will let me add to stable. It could, maybe, possibly be the the next ride. Or I could go Likwid,s route and pick up V Rod.
  11. I live in area where the are hills with intersections and red lights at the top. One of my clutch learning tools is to find a parking lot or business driveway with a hill. On Sundays go there and practice finding the Friction Zone. Idling and starting on the hill, and holding steady without the brake. It is ok to come out of your comfort zone once and while. The more you do it the more skill you will pick up. As everyone else has pointed out, do not get pushed out of your ability zone. I do not want to beat a dead horse, MSF :bow:is the best, even after you learn some skills
  12. Last year by April 3rd I put a couple hundred miles on the Buell. This year about 60. Too cold and wet. But I will get now for couple hours and enjoy the near 50 degree heat wave.
  13. Welcome Neighbor. It takes all kinds to make a good group. Welcome from Westlake.
  14. You did a great job last year leading the first ride. You handled the one issue the way you had to. Enough said, Let's start a new year.
  15. I picked up a Sporster for my wife 2 years ago. She took the course twice, passed the second time. Her problem the first time was she had no idea about clutches and how they work. If you have ever driven a standard trans car you have a head start. you will already have an idea how clutches work. My wife is great on her Sporty now. She's a natural.
  16. But does it protect against road rash.
  17. I tend to hit the potholes with my truck and try to miss them with the bike. I went to Tremont for lunch on Friday. Trying to dodge the holes around there was like an obstacle course.
  18. I did about 50 MILES Friday and about 20 Sunday before the rain started(had a late start). The pot holes are ridiculus. The are everywhere and they are deep.
  19. I'll be up for that, weather and date permiting. Not a Richfield'er but I know Whitey's, great place, good people and food. Plenty of parking too.
  20. What about Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue. The intro even sounds like a crotch rocket going through gears.
  21. Welcome to OR. Sandusky area is a great area to ride. I spend a lot of time between Vermilion and Port Clinton.
  22. Top Gun, Spring is almost here. Just wait for some rain to wash the salt away and some pot holes to get filled. we will have to get your "Chief" out this year.
