  1. Do it June 19 and then head over to Shimmers in Covington, KY and see my band that night. Yes, I am a whore. :D

    Hmmm....

is there sufficient parking for bikes there? We'd have to go there first.. otherwise no one may be able to ride if we wait for after... LOL

  2. I was planning on doing this last year but never got around to it. I want to throw get togther for the guys in the Southwest. I was planning o having soft drinks, beer, Metts, hot dogs and bratts to any biker showing up (free of course). We could set up the volley ball net as well.

My only concern would be making sure no one rides away drunk! Any suggestions?

I could do it on a UFC night too....perhaps in June. Anyone interested??

  3. I hate HOA's. they can be quite retarded.

I am on the board of our HOA. Yes - They can appear retarded at times. The board has the responsibility to see that all the HOA rules are followed. If you don't like them you can get the community to change them by a majority vote and or majority signature etc. If that hasn't happened it is most likely because you are not in the majority!!

For example - We do not allow storage sheds. Hardly a days passes that someone doesn't complain to me about not being able to have storage sheds. However, on 3 separate occasions the neighborhood voted it down!

When I point that out I get conspiracy theories etc.

In regards to the trailer we have the same rule. Generally we wait for about a week before we even discuss issuing a letter. That gives time for any "temporary" trailer to be removed. If it stays we take action. The HOA has to take action per the by-laws. That is their responsibility.

They may even be sympathetic. Their hands are tied. If you don't like it attend the next meeting. Get it put on a ballot and take care of it. I'm sick of whiners that whine but never want to do anything personally about it.

By the way Board members are not paid. They usually work 40 hours like everyone else. Just FYI.

  4. everyone likes to bitch about "welfare", but it is such a small percentage of total government spending. the vast majority goes to military.

you are pissed that an american citizen may be getting some assistance somewhere, but you dont care that we have spend 700 billion dollars on a war we were LIED into?

THAT is whats disgusting. that americans are so god damn selfish they would rather pay for bombs to be dropped on the other side of the world, than to help out some people at home.

well, thats what you get with abstinence only education.

I'm not bitching about welfare when applicable and needed. everyone has times when they could use assistance. I'm talking about those that "abuse" the system and use it to acquire luxuries at our expense.

I studied hard in school and chose to have a smaller family so I could live comfortably. Why should I pay for someone that refused to study, passed up opportunities to go to college and chose to have 4 or 5 children?

I'm not talking someone down and out that needs temporary assistance.

In regards to the military.. I agree with the comments made in that respect irregardless of whether anyone was lied to or not. Hard to staomach the expenditures when other countries just sit back and reap the benefits. I'm not knowledgeable enough regarding that topic to hold a meaningful discussion though.

  5. I'm not so worried about the dirt poor people that are freeloading as much as I am the super-ultra-rich that pay no taxes because of the tax shelters they've been afforded by certain political parties.

The dirt poor people can only live so good before they reach a ceiling.

    I agree... about the ultra-rich..

I'm not talking dirt poor. I'm talking those that "abuse" the system.

  6. Personally I put little weight in how much is taken from my check. Your total tax contribution should include taxes at the pump, at the store, on the internet, from your phone bill, utilities, cable, satellite, reductions in social security as well as changes in age you can collect it, property taxes etc.

The government is simply playing a shell game when they say people under $250K will not see increases in taxes.

My biggest gripe is the growing population of people not paying ANY taxes while those that do shoulder the burden. I have first hand experience with both friends and family that I regret to say contribute to that burden.

I get so disgusted when I see government handout to people with flat screen T.V's , pools, relatively new SUV's etc. If you can afford to buy these items on your income then why are you getting assistance???

Why should I pay for other people to have babies while keeping my family at a minimum?

Oh well... that's what voting is all about and I will admit I have NEVER voted. Yep.. never availed myself of that given right. However, I have registered and this is the first year I have been "pissed" enough and plan on voting out some deadbeat politicians. So no one is to blame but me.. and I plan on changing that!!!!

  7. You guys are missing what's really happening here!. His wife told him he had to sell the bike. He agreed out of his infinite love for her and... their (her) desire to buy a "family" SUV.

Thus the listing...given the conditions I'd say the price was fair.

  8. like, when you go to hug people, do people say, "are those your malformed eye balls, or are you just happy to see me"?

Fortunately the malformity exists at the rear of the eyeball. I've been able to hide it so far. LOL
