  1. While we're on the subject of tires: Does anyone have any experience with Michelin Power Pures??? I've run Dunlop Qualifiers (OEM), Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's, & (2) sets of Michelin Power One's on the current bike so far. I was thinking of getting something with a little more in the way of rain grooves now.

  2. Hmm..I was contemplating posting this up...

I need to scout a ride for a group of bikes I'm leading to 555 in a couple of weeks. It was originally just going to be me and one other bike...get down there and back ASAP. There might be some wrong turns here or there..and I might stop to take notes. I didn't want to make it public (looks like I just did) because I won't have time to worry about keeping a group together. I need to get there and back ASAP.

I'm looking at a 10 hr ride...or a little less if I alter the second half of the route.

Can't go this weekend but I am interested in the ride in a couple of weeks. Post it up or did you already. We did 555 last Sunday & it was alright except for a little sand (sliding is fun if you don't crash) on a couple of curves. There was still the detour just past Zanesville (Take 60 east of the river for a ways, take the 2nd bridge over, then cut over on 669 west to 555. Its better than the official detour). Whoever's going this weekend have an excellent ride.

  3. Ross an I will be heading south, not sure who all else is coming with us. welcome to meet us in Coshocton

It would be nice to meet up with you in Coshocton but I wouldn't want to delay your ride as we probably won't be there until 9:30 or 10.

  4. I've got another rider that will probably go as well. Just a suggestion but what do you think about meeting at Circle K (at the intersection of 82 & 83), at 8 AM Sunday, then to Coshocton on 83, Over to Woodsfield on 541, 78 etc, 255 both ways, 26 to Marietta, 555, home???

  5. I am meeting a small group at 10 a.m. in Zanesville at Bob Evans on Underwood Road to ride 555 to 7, not sure what the plan is after that.

Anyone here is welcome to meet up with us.

What a coincidence. My brother & I are coming down from the Cleveland area & have already made plans to meet my nephew coming from Columbus at around 9:30 this morning at the same Bob Evans. We're headed down 555 as well, then down into West Virginia. Maybe we'll see you out there.

  6. i can stomach bike night about twice a summer.

there are usually hot chicks from the local strip clubs passing shit out, so that's nice. And watching people's dyno runs can be moderately entertaining at times.

otherwise, I just go to look at bikes and walk around.

Yes, there are some interesting points so I'll probably go to another in 2011.

  7. I went to the QS&L bike night @ Sheffield tonight & it seems stranger every time I go, which is about once a year. Does anyone else here think that the bike night thing with the bling & huge chicken strips is a bit strange, or am I just out of it?

  8. F**K, I really wanted to go on this one but it looks like it's not in the cards. I twisted my back out of whack while working on my car on Sunday. It took about 20 minutes just to put on my socks Monday morning. It felt better Tuesday so I rode the bike to work & cut the grass when I got home. Bad idea. Went back to the 20 minute sock routine this morning so it's probably not a good idea for me to go on a 450 miler this weekend. Hopefully next time. Have fun & stay safe.

  9. Welcome to the forum. Please nix the 250 idea. Your ability to keep up with & stay out of the way of traffic is essential. My wife spent her first year on a 650 suzuki savage then moved up to a little monster (Ducati 696). Best of luck.
