Yea, I've thought about that too. My boyfriend put heli-bars on his 05 RC51 he had 2 yrs ago and they made a big difference on that bike, but he seems to think on a 600 it wouldn't make that much of a difference...sometimes I think it would be more comfortable to be a little more over the tank. Guess I'll have to do some test rides!

I guess my main concern is ride position...how do you like the 1000 position compared to the 250? Big difference?

mostly joy riding/riding back & forth to school/work. I'm not a track rider or long distance rider yet so maybe 100 miles at a time would be TOPS.

I do remember saying I try to avoid the highway, but that was last year and I'm more comfortable with highways now. So because that is no longer the case it is for this reason I feel I need a bigger machine...I love the sportbike look but am nervous of the uncomfortable riding position especially compared to what I'm used to riding. Maybe an R bike (100+ hp) is too much but for the sake of argument -- any bike in the beginning was too much for me...so I guess it's just a graduation. I love my 250, just want a bigger machine. So for practicality and physical appearance I want the perfect fit (possible??).

It's time for an upgrade from the 250 (probably by the end of June I'll have a different bike)...I need opinions, because apparently I'm all over the place with my choices... I really like the HD Iron 883 (2009)...BUT (before all the haters chime in...) I'm partial to sportbikes. <3 like a CBR600 (2006) Or a GSXR. And I also have a soft spot for the naked looking bikes...like a Ducati (an older one of course.) Please help...I suffer from liking too many motorcycle styles and not having enough money to have them all. LOL

Hey there fellow female/Ninja 250 rider! I've had my 08 250 for a year, took the course in April of last year, had a lot of fun, passed and have been enjoying the ride ever since! Welcome and enjoy...be safe out there, can never be too cautious!

Totally understand, everyone I know except my boyfriend is verizon, so it was a tough decision, I just was sure to get plenty of minutes and unlimited texting. LOL Good luck!

I had the storm for about 4 months and just sold it on ebay 2 days ago, and switched to the iphone. Probably one of the best decisions I've made in a while. I didn't "HATE" the storm, it just became such a hassel to use. I didn't like how the sms texting work compared to the iphone (storm tracks each message separately, where as the iphone tracks the messages as a group from the same sender). Also, after time, it developed a horrible lag, which I found out happens when you don't close the "apps" you are using and they stay open (where as the iphone, when you close an app, it's over, done, no going back to turn it off). With emails, every single email you get it alerts you, where as the iphone you have to go into your email and update your inbox to see new emails (which for me, I get a lot of junk email taht I've tried to unsubscribe from many times, but never worked, so literally my phone would alert me about every 5 minutes...talk about annoying.) Those are just a few reasons I dislike the storm and like the iphone. I don't know if you are finished with your contract with verizon or not, but if you are...switch, get out while you can...I'm stuck paying $400 to end my contract with them. RIDICULOUS! Bottom line = iPhone > Blackberry Storm. (Not sure about the omnia, it actually looks pretty cool!)
