This one protects me from stupid people though. I'm for it.
Why not?
For the sake of argument and I haven't read much in this thread....
Just like no guns signs keep you from getting shot and OVI laws keep you from getting hit by a drunk driver?

can you get a ticket for running stop signs in parking lots? like kroger, etc?
someone told me they got ticketed for it, but i also heard you couldnt be...fzrmatt, edumacate me!
Private stop signs are not enforceable unless say someone failed to stop and caused an accident. They can be cited. I think there is some gray area if they need to meet size requirements and the whole private property issue which is why many LEO wont cite for it.

Can't you exit out of those and not have them pop up? I never really paid any attention to it
You can by DL'ing Social Fixer from http://socialfixer.com. It also allows you to decide what order you want posts, adds a friend tracker, and a bunch of other fixes for FB's screw ups.

so...youre saying prez is lying about taking a training course through odot?
not sure why somebody would make that up out of the blue
No, I'm saying I can't find anything that authorizes anyone other than a LEO to direct traffic. He also says:
I went 12 years ago so things may have changed... -
The LEO is "...expected to survive..."
Good news. Hope the same can't be said for the shooter(s).
Good to hear.
I'll add that a LEO in NY died today.
Police Officer Peter Figoski was shot and killed while responding to a robbery call on Pine Street, in Brooklyn, at approximately 2:00 am.Read more: http://www.odmp.org/officer/21042-police-officer-peter-figoski#ixzz1gNXHzLeI

I cannot find anything that states other that a LEO can direct traffic. If I had to guess, I would say that if something would happen, the person directing would be subject to charges as well as the motorist at fault. No idea what the courts might say.
If someone other than a LEO was directing traffic say, at a crash scene, I would venture the courts, and probably LE, would take the discretion not to file charges. The person was acting in good faith in a dangerous situation.
Totality of the circumstances applies.

I'm looking right now to see what I can find. Haven't come across anything in the code yet. I did find this article but it does take place in CA and not OH.
Trying to find any case law about it.

Communication would be my worry. Phones will be toast. A posse of friends needs formed at a location. It be hard to protect your house at night with less than 4 guns. Turn your light on and your a target. Any house that looks like refuge would be a target to groups of assholes. Horses would be shot for food unless hidden or useful. Dogs would be good detectors. You'd get one shot to get where your going until gas is gone. Stay home or meet somewhere would be my question. Depends who/what the threat is.
Get these for comms. Forget the standard two way radios.

I hate videos like this, the ones with computer voices. I stopped at 13 seconds.

I like this one
I have used the fire extinguisher one as well and also like comparing it to wearing seat belts.

:wreath:That was so cute...why can't the entire world be this cute and innocent, at least on His birthday?
That'd be nice...

You mean "too" not "to". You also need a little dot called a period at the end of your sentence. Too bad you can't read.

LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles woman accused of attacking at least 20 Black Friday shoppers at a Walmart store with pepper spray won't face felony charges, prosecutors said Thursday.
The case of Elizabeth Macias, 32, was referred to city attorneys after county prosecutors didn't find evidence of a felony, said Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.
Macias could still face misdemeanor prosecution, Gibbons said.
