This comes up on the homepage way too much...
  3. This is floating around facebook: Thought it'd be funny to discuss how things are different now. So I'll add to this with: We had one phone, paper maps, actual phone books, toys were made from metal, the house and car doors were left unlocked, dad didn't call your cell phone to come home-he whistled really loud, you had to rewind movies to watch them..... (couple of those courtesy of Gump)
  4. If I didn't already have my 870, I'd consider this.
  5. It doesn't matter what the correct answer is.
  6. lol, here's a write up: http://www.benzinsider.com/2010/12/a-smart-fortwo-tank/
  7. Is there an article to go with this...thing?
  8. Glad it went well for you. Nice to hear of the pleasant stops and not just the bad ones.
  9. It's been "knocking" for some time now too! Weird thing is after a few minutes of running, it would quite down.
  10. Glad it went well and you had some good father/son time. A day well spent.
  11. I'm flattered.....I think..... He spent all his money riding the pink scooter on vacation.
  12. I watched it all the way through like twice. Anymore when I watch it, I quit after boot camp. lol
  13. Daaaaamn, He's lucky it didn't bust him in the face.

  15. I just laughed my ass off at that!!!!
  16. I carry an M&P .40. Open and concealed. It fits my hand great and I like everything about it. Bought it because hopefully I need it for a specific police department I am trying to get onto and I like having more rounds in the magazine. It also doubles as home defense along with my shotgun. I have a M&P .45 compact I carried before I got the .40. Bought it off a friend not knowing much about that line but really like it now. I also have a Taurus PT22 I'll carry every once in a while if I need deep concealment or little weight. My wife carries a Bersa Lusber 844 .32. I got it from a friend for doing the fuel pump in his truck. There are way too many variables per gun per person. Basically you want something that fits your hand, fits your clothing style to conceal, comfortable to carry, and what ever kind of round you want. 9mm is cheap. .45 is more expensive but bigger. Do you have kids and want more safeties? XD fits that bill. Do you want something that has been in service a while and has a great following? Get a Glock. There are a million different reasons and excuses. No one here can tell you much more than we already have or that isn't already in one of the 3 dozen "What gun should I get" threads already. lulz
  17. BTW, That's Pedro's Grand Prix. It had a misfire on cyl 2. Turns out the plastic brace that keeps the lifters sitting correctly broke on that cylinder. Let the lifters rotate and jack up the push rods.
  18. The first picture is an engine from a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix 3800, 197,000 miles. As far as I know it has always had conventional motor oil in it. Notice the gunk build up. This is an engine from a 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight 3800m 134,000mi, my grandfather's car. Exact same engine as the Grand Prix. I just got this car a week ago. Anyways, he has always used Amsoil Synthetic motor oil in it. Notice how much cleaner it is? I believe the oil was changed about every 7,500 or 10,000 miles, I'll have to double check his note tonight. This is why I use Amsoil Synthetic oil in my vehicles.
