  3. Wheel Medic and what we do...... First off I would love to thank everyone that has used our services and those of you that choose to use us in the future. I would like to point out what we do to wheels in addition to just blasting them and spraying a single-stage powder. We fix your curb rash, dents, dings & deep scratches... We can also machine your wheels, weld cracks & reseal multi-piece wheels. There are thousands of colors to choose from as well. We can do one wheel to match the other 3. We do not make you do all four to insure that it matches. In most cases work is completed in 3 to 5 days. We service with about 500 plus shops & dealerships in Columbus for the past 11 years and the surrounding areas. We run over 175 wheels per week and still maintain fast and quality service. And that's just one thing we do here thank you for reading ladies and gentlemen.

  11. You're right, it's not hexavalent chrome. It's a three stage powder process. The reflective coating is a titanium-aluminum film layered in between a powder base primer and acrylic powder clear coat. The metalized film is only angstroms leaving it somewhat transparent. For bright "chrome" they leave it in the vacuum chamber longer. Most, if not all "black chrome" is a PVD process. CalChrome is the only company I use for traditional chrome but they offer a black chrome finish applied by Goodrich Technologies in Pittsburg, CA. This is a new application for this technology and they have had some problems, but you get a three year warranty. Prices are about the same as Calchrome. http://www.calchrome.com/service_blackchrome.php http://www.goodrichtechnology.com Yea, that Mazi was sick.. wish I had some pictures.
  12. We sublet black chrome to my brother's company in Mentor, OH. Jaime had his wheels done there. We pick up and delivery weekly. http://www.onwardcoatings.net
  13. Thanks Clifford.. It is a older slant bed tracer lathe (pre CNC). We profile the radius of the wheel with a abs template.. we have thousands of them. A hydraulic stylus follows the radius template moving the PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) tipped bit over the radius of the wheel exposing new aluminum. http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn272/bryceboley/IMAG1037.jpg
  14. We can put your car on a lift and check all four wheels. We will not charge for diag.. We do have a high speed balance machine, however I doubt it's better than the machines NTB is using. We'd be happy to take a look, just call and make an appointment so we can make sure we have an open lift.
  15. If it is a true 3-pc wheel we can replace the inner or outer barrel for 1/3 the cost of a new wheel. We may even be able to straighten for less. Feel free to bring it down or call: Ask for Phil or Bryce Wheel Medic, Inc. 2971 Silver Dr. Columbus, OH 432224 614-299-9866
  16. I also wanted to show you guys our lathe process... I apologize but you may have to take some dramamine before watching.

  18. We sub-let to Onward Coatings, my brother's company in Mentor, OH. They apply the black and bright PVD Chrome. 18' set will run around $695 and take 1-2 weeks. We have some display wheels in our showroom. The coating looks great and will hold up in Ohio winters. http://www.onwardcoatings.com/Gallery.html This is a recent set they did for us M5 wheels.
