Welcome...love the bike

I went by QS&L last week...didn't stop, but there were certainly some bikes there. Maybe someone, (you) should start a thread...I would but I always kill threads lol

What are you looking to spend?...

I'm actually an administrator at an inner city school in Dayton. There have been a lot of rants in this thread that I would like to address.
The peanut allergy- It's a big deal. We've had to have entire peanut free areas.
Peanuts can be deadly...sad but true.
School supply lists- Every school has them. They shouldn't be brand specific though. That's pretty crazy, I'm guessing that this is a school that has the demographic that brand name things wouldn't be hard to obtain. My school we have a list and thankfully we have some very supportive parents and churches and people in the community that want to help.
Wussy kids- It's not the kids, it's the parents and society that have made them this way. Like every all children, they are what their parents raise them to be. Schools can only do so much. It's entirely unfortunate that schools seem to be expected to "raise" children, that isn't the intent of schools.
Props to all those parents out there that understand actions and consequences! I'm sure it isn't easy...I'll get to know soon, the wife is six month pregnant.

How you doing now anyway? Scrapes and bruises doing better?

Cool bike! Good luck, I'm betting you don't have any problems selling it.

I live just down the road from there...Crazy amounts of Harleys on a regular basis. I actually like the bar in the off season. Way to many people for me.
-
Maybe an FZ1
Good call...check one out!
-
Now lets talk about what oil is the best...lol

I grew up in Huron, right next to Sandusky. My folks still live up there, in Norwalk. There are crazy amounts of bikes at this event.

wow, good luck! It's a shame she didn't work out for you. Try an FZ6

Go me for having so many damn pictures on here

Glad to hear you're not too bad off. Let me know if you need help.

PM Monster...Stafford Jewelers are pretty good.

The cost of drug testing all the people that receive government assistance would be astronomical. Tax payers would of course have to pay for that as well. I totally agree with the thought though.

I’m bored, so here goes…
I have an 08 Yamaha FZ6
Likes:
Comfortable riding position
Good mpg
Very comfortable 2up
Semi-naked looks (though lots say it is an ugly bike…I like it and most naked bikes)
Good value (I bought it new and paid 7k)
Very peppy
Center stand
Very light
Stock exhaust is very quiet (good and bad/I don’t like the attention of a loud bike)
Good sport touring bike
Dislikes:
Comes with crap Dunlop tires (great for Ohio riding…straight line intended)
Seat height is high (If you’re under 6’ you will be on your tippy toes)
Digital speedo (it is easy to read, I just prefer non-digital gauges)
Powerband is really up in the 6-8+k range
Clunky 1st to 2nd gear change
Stock seat can get a bit uncomfortable for most (I’ve never had the issue though)
It is constantly confused for the FZ1/or just overlooked (Yamaha discontinued it even lol)
I really like the FZ6 and I find it to be a good all around bike. It is sporty enough to get into it and enjoy a spirited ride. It is also comfortable enough to take on long relaxing trips.

I think that sums it up. I miss looking at all the purdy bikes in Dayton...and laughing at all the funny squids.

From what I have read nuvi's wont do routes, only waypoints even with other programs. I used mapsource and it still will only transfer the waypoints over. I have the 260w so i think i'm stuck.
