  1. You shit yourself if you knew how much stuff TC sounds oem'd.
  2. Bench testing amps with a certain load resistor is just a way of the manufacture saying in perfect conditions this is what it will make. Testing with a reative load is better. Because in real world use your 4ohm speaker is never. You will have impedance rise. At different frequencies there will be a different amount. You speaker could be 4ohms at 30hz but then be 16ohms at 40hz. As far as cone control yes the enclosure will have the majority of an effect, but comparing qms and qts should give you a feel for it ahead of time. A subwoofer with low qts will have better cone control because of the re/bl^2 (motor force). Qms or the mechanical Q of the driver also has effect. Higher the qms the better mechanical damping. Now This is with the suspensions, surround and spiders. Then factor mms and cms and there's a whole lot more variables.
  3. 4 gauge is good to 1000rms. There is no such thing as over kill in wire. I've ran a 300 Watt amp off of 1 ought.
  4. I'm not very familiar with computer power supplies. Is it a constant 950 Watts or variable upon consumption?
  5. Even at that, you would have to have a HUGE battery bank to be able to play for 1+hrs. Then if an amp is rated at 300 watts rms, 99% that rated at 14.4 volts. His setup would float around 12-12.5volts. So a 300 watt amp now becomes a 250 watt amp. So the whole setup might draw close to 30-40 amps. (They amp alone would draw 21amps if its 100% efficient, which its not) So Yes on batteries it could be done, you would have more money in batteries than just buying a pro sound amp.
  6. Unless you went below the systems minimum impedance, the only thing i could see if one channel would run hotter than the other.
  7. Crown EV QSC isnt bad if your strapped for cash Peavy isnt bad Avoid Behringer, pyle. Just like anything else, you get what you pay for. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=245-650 Also review post #13
  8. 120v to 12v is pointless, unless its a stereo shop demoing head unit.....just saying.. http://columbus.craigslist.org/ele/1986610303.html

  10. Home theatre amp or a pro sound amp is the way to go. Running a bench setup to run 12v is more hassle and probably cost more in the end. As far as pro sound, check eBay or used guitars stores (I.e. music go round)
  11. Nice Drz, are those 17's (kinda had to see on the phone).

    Any mods?

  12. I'm at a total loss of words. Punk ass motherfuckers need killed.
  13. Used 870. Get a pistol grip (or folding stock) for home defense, keep the factory stock for clay pigeon shoots. 12 low brass is low recoil, shooting some high brass is more recoil.
  14. Buy it back cheap. Street fighter it and buy a nice used bike.
  15. I'm a total noob. I've never shot past 100yrds. Im still trying to learn the minute of angle adjustments. I would assume the ranges would help but Idk how to determine how to use that.
  16. If I can make it probably just shoot the short range.
