Woke up sunday and decided to get a scope for my Marlin 25MNSS (Ducks Unlimited Gun) it had been needing a scope for almost over a year. Went to Buckeye Outdoors and got a nice Simmons 6x22?-44 mil dot scope. Sighted the 22mag in and also shot the 597 22lr while i was at it. Here are the results. I will never use Winchester Wildcat 22LR ammo as it is JUNK, horribly inconsistent. Distance to Target -Roughly 50 yards The 22's My best attempt to see through the new scope Remington 597 22LR @ 25 yards CCI Blazer ammo Had to sight it in because it was sighted in for around 75 yards. #1 too high/#2 too high/#3 getting closer/#4 sighted in Remington 597 22LR @ 50 Yards Shitty Winchester Wildcat ammo& CCI Blazer Notice the shitty wildcat scatter Remington 597 22LR @ 50 yards Just Shitty Wildcat ammo Group to the left was aiming dead center. Group towards center was 2" right hold Marlin 22 Mag sight in First Target after initial sight in I attempted my first Krlon paint job on the 597. Turned out OK What i discoverd is both guns need trigger mods, pull is about 9-10 lbs. 2.5-3.5 would be ideal for me. Also i need more time to practice as I tend to shoot a little left. Now that i finally got a scope, will be working on my accuracy at 125 yards (front yard)
