  1. Here is the video of 260 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWVEE1oYVBc
  2. Coming, I did not realize my new laptop does not have firewire so I will need to get the software on another pc.
  3. There were a couple turns that distracted me with those Miata's coming the other way. I bet they were having as much fun as we were.
  4. For those of you that do not know what Beallsville Diner looks like. This is it, if you blink while driving through Beallsville you will miss it.
  5. It was a great ride! I was finally able to ride with Uncle Punk and "He's not black"! That man can ride, it was great to have him lead the ride so I could watch the master at work. Unfortunately I could only watch for short periods since it was not taking very long for him to get out of sight. We all had a great time, over 400 miles on the clock once I got back to Delaware. I will post up some videos of 260 soon. If you have never been on 260, it is well worth the trip. I would ride interstate 2 hours each just to get to that road. We had 9 riders total which was a great number, very easy to keep track of them all. Looking forward to another trip down that way in the near future. Thanks to all that showed up for the ride and I think I can speak for everyone when I say we all had a great ride.
  6. If you have an extra ticket for Sunday I would be interested in joining you. I may head up there anyway and just pay the gate price on Sunday.
  7. Absolutely not, all are welcome. Please come and enjoy the ride.
  8. I will give you my opinion from the other side of the fence. I am the Director of a Software Customer Support Department and I have not had very good luck with staffing agencies. Robert Half is actually the worst one for me. It is probably good for the person looking for the job but as much as the Salesrep called and hounded me I did not care if he found the best person in the world, I was not going to work with him. I do not hire for contract work and for the Support positions I hire for, they are usually entry level so that may be the issue. I have had much better luck with word of mouth. Most of my employees have come from other employees recommending them. Good luck on your search!
  9. Ben beat me to it. Must have replied as I was typing. Thanks Ben!
  10. We meet at the same place but this month we will be departing an hour earlier. Meet at 8 depart at 8:30. This is to allow us to get this ride in without taking up the whole day to do it. There will be 3 gas stops: Gas Stop 1 - BP - Located at 68 Miles on route Malta, OH Gas Stop 2 - BP - located at 161 Miles on route Woodsfield, OH Gas Stop 3 - Speedway - located at 230 miles on route Cambridge, OH This will be a great ride!
  11. One thing everyone should know. We are planning on having lunch at Beallsville Diner. They do not accept credit/debit cards so please bring some cash. They are not expensive and have great food. There will be 3 gas stops: Gas Stop 1 - BP - Located at 68 Miles on route Malta, OH Gas Stop 2 - BP - located at 161 Miles on route Woodsfield, OH Gas Stop 3 - Speedway - located at 230 miles on route Cambridge, OH
  12. According to the mapping software it is saying 8 hours but I am not sure how accurate that is. If for some reason you needed to bail early you could certainly jump on the interstate and cut off a couple hours of time. I would actually be surprised if it took that long but with gas and lunch stops I guess it could.
  13. This is the thread for the new July 17th Ride: http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?p=524640#post524640
  14. Ok everyone, the route we will be taking is out to the Ohio River and back. The total distance is 317 miles. With that being said it will probably be good if we depart no later than 8:30 am. We will meet at the Calvary Chapel of Columbus at 8:00 am located at 6075 Livingston Ave http://calvarychapelcolumbus.com/directions/ Here is a link to the map of the route: http://ridewithgps.com/trips/66864
  15. You got it Jagr, I have you down for the event. Shoot me an email so I have your contact info. jcmathis@insight.rr.com
  16. Due to lack of participation and poor timing on our part we are going to cancel the knee dragging clinic for this month. We will attempt to put the event together later in the season when the weather is cooler and we can advertise it better. Since we will not be doing this event we will be doing a ride. I have not put a route together yet but I am thinking about going down into SE Ohio. Once I get the route together I will start a new thread.
  17. I cannot change the thread title so it will have to do.
  18. I do not have the exact times yet but it will be as early as possible and go until we run out of daylight. It all depends on how many sign up for the event.
  19. CANCELLED We will be hosting a Knee Dragging Clinic for a maximum of 30 riders. There will be two CCS Racers providing the instruction. We will have a tight course laid out with cones in the parking lot of Grace Point Community Church at 2393 Peachblow Road, Lewis Center, OH. There will be a safety briefing, a period of instruction and demonstration and then we will start the riders through the chocked bike for body positioning. After a session on the chocked bike, the riders move to the KTM for on board training. The riders will be filmed, after their session the film is transferred to a laptop and the rider moves to a critique stage with the film as "evidence." Then, he/she gets back in line to ride again. Meanwhile, the same process is going on with the next rider. This is a great opportunity to learn more on control and body position without the risk of laying your own bike down. The only requirements we have is you must sign a liability waiver and have full safety gear! This means at a minimum: Textile pants, jacket, boots, leather gloves and helmet. Full leathers are always preferred. If you would like to sign up for this event or are interested in helping out please send me an email at jcmathis@insight.rr.com. If you would just like to come and hang out with us you can do that as well. I realize that this is the same weekend as the Mid-Ohio Races but what would you rather do, watch guys race around a track and wish you were out there or ride yourself and walk away a better rider with scuffed knee pucks? Here are a few pictures from the clinic that was given down in Daytona.
  20. Max, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad but I am sure he was a great guy. Had to be if he loved bikes! I pray that you and your family will find comfort in knowing that your Dad is no longer in anymore pain. I wish I could make it down to participate in this procession, I am sure it will be an awesome sight. Looking forward to riding with you soon.
  21. I also would like to thank everyone that showed up today for the benefit as well as the ride. For those of you that this was the first ride with the CSBA I can assure you this was not a typical ride. Normally we would search out many more twisty roads with better pavement but since we wanted to keep the right fairly short we did not have many options. Next month will actually not be a ride but a much better event. Please keep watching for the post which should be coming soon. Brian, It was my pleasure to be able to assist you with your bike. Thanks for letting me be a part of it. It was so awesome seeing you ride today.
  22. When Danballa and I rode it a couple weeks ago it took us 3 hours in the rain so you may as well plan on 3 hours. We can stop in Danville for gas which is under 100 miles. Not sure about a head count since this forum is not the only place it is being advertised. We will have to wait and see Saturday morning. We are certainly hoping for a large head count. I have typed up turn by turn directions so I will have those available as well for anyone that wants one.
  23. Since I am off work on Tuesday and you are just a couple miles away I am planning on being there. I may have to do both my bikes.
  24. I will be there since I will be leading the ride.
