  1. The mods are not done yet. It will be an all week project I am sure. We had to take it today to a machine shop for some fabrication work. The landing gear will arrive tomorrow so it should start coming together by mid week. There will certainly be some pics posted. You should check out the Benefit Ride this coming Saturday. It starts at Iron Pony at noon and will be about 150 miles.
  2. I was actually 5 minutes early Todd.
  3. Motohio is a great dealership, family owned and they take great care of their customers. Not that I have anything against Theils since that is where I purchased my Sprint before they were actually a Triumph dealer.
  4. Phil, Thanks for posting up the pics. I took my camera but failed to take it out of the case. I am glad someone else was on the ball. I know Wagner took a couple pics as well, I will try to get those from him.
  5. I wish but I have to be at the church by 3:15 to run the sound board this evening.
  6. I agree but there is no reason to haul my bike if it does not need any wrenching.
  7. Since I will be carrying Brian Kinney's bike to Dyno Brian's shop this morning I will be in my truck with trailer for this event. There is not enough time to go back to Delaware for the bike. See you there.
  8. I would think that it would since all it is looking for is a connection to the bike. If you already have the tuneboy cable this software is free so it can't hurt to try.
  9. See you in the morning Zorro.
  10. I will take them. Where exactly are you at? I work in Westerville but live in Delaware county.
  11. Pics would be great. If they are in great shape I will take them.
  12. I may try to make it up there tomorrow night but not sure yet.
  13. Brian, I am sure I can assist you during the week if you need it. I am not a welder but it sounds like that is covered. If we do not have anyone showing up for the wrench day I am sure a couple of us will shoot over to give you a hand on Saturday.
  14. Brian, I have an enclosed trailer and pickup truck so just say the word and I can come down with it to help you move the bike.
  15. I have never understood the waiver to ride with that group either. It must be a Triumph thing. I am guessing some loser got into an accident on one of the group rides somewhere around the globe and he decided to sue the ride promoters. I am on the Motohio Ratpack email list but I have never been on their rides or to any of their meetings. I have too much going on already with keeping up with the CSBA events.
  16. It sounds like you have it covered but I would certainly be interested in helping you out with installing it.
  17. Yep, you can call me a noob to Ohio-Riders but not to riding. I have had a few Triumphs and enjoyed every one of them with the exception of one. I started out with a 98 Daytona 595, then made a stupid move to the 2002 Bonneville America which only lasted a couple months. From that I went to the 2002 Sprint ST which was the best bike I had ever owned up to that point. Did several mods to it, track days and put many miles on it while living in Florida. After moving up to Ohio I made the decision to part with it after getting into dirt biking. I lasted a couple years off the road and then had to get back. Tried a couple Yamaha's and then had to go back to the Triumph. I figured the 02 Sprint ST was so good the 06 must be better. I was right, it is absolutely the best bike I have ever had. Does everything great and has gobbs of power. Sorry for the history lesson but you asked where I came from. Maybe some day we will hook up for a ride. Are you part of the Motohio Rat Pack?
  18. This is great information guys. When I had my 02 Sprint ST I had the TuneBoy but this is sweet since the only cost is the cable.
  19. Good Job SwingR, I know what you mean about the rain. We did the 100 miles and after the first 32 miles the skies opened up and just dumped on us. I am not sure about the hills for the 30 but they certainly changed the route for the 100 this year. Last year there were not as many hills as this year. I had a max speed of 44 mph on one of the downhills. That is moving along on a 1 inch wide tire. We had a great time though and looking forward to next year.
  20. The meeting place is Iron Pony and the ride will depart at noon.
  21. Cycle Search will mount tires purchased outside. I think they charge $20 per wheel for mounting and balance. Just take them by and they will mount while you wait.
  22. If I would not have had my rain gear with me I would have done the same. Actually if Ben would not have showed up I would have probably went home as well but it turned out to be a good ride.
  23. Wow, I did not realize there were so many of you that were afraid of getting wet. Ben (Danballa) showed up at the McDonalds and we headed north. Within minutes we were ahead of the rain. The route is a good one with the exception of a road closure in Fredricktown. Took a quick detour and we were back on route. When we were about 10 miles down 79 we found the rain again. Stopped and put the rain jacket on and we were off again. After about 10 minutes the rain was done again and it looked like we were behind it now. Total time was 3 hours and all in all, the route was great. Looking forward to the ride in 3 weeks.
