I agree, team Lexus sorta blew it...the driver was way too cocky about her skills...and she didn't really have any. The navigator drove better, and was way nicer. Next week should be interesting.

+1 best idea ever. I took mine out last season, wanted to ride to work. It was raining...I crashed...F'ed my ankle up so I couldn't ride for a while...bad idea. One of these days though...I'll rock the rain.

I got the same comments from everyone when I started riding...mostly about how irresponsible it is when I am a dad to two little girls to do something so dangerous that could take me from them.quote]

That's what I hear. My mother is so angry at me for riding she can hardly look at me. It's tough to have someone you care about so much care so little about things you care about. I love my son, riding doesn't make me a bad Mom, if anything it makes me a better one, if I can risk a little, I can let him risk a little.

I don't like hearing that crap from others, but 'to each his own' I don't think anyone on this site will have anything different to say as we are all riders We're the lucky ones

I haven't done as much research as the rest of you, but I'm definately interested in getting it done. For me, a glasses/contacts wearer for 20 years, the benefits far outweigh the risks. The cost keeps going down on the procedure as well. I was told not to have it done until I'm in my 30's to be assured I wont need touch ups, but keep us posted on what you find out at your consult....seems a lot people are interested

I thought it was dangerous/illegal to ride with headphones in....I'd love to do it, but isn't that sort of unsafe? Can't hear sirens etc. I must be wrong since they have all these neat devices....

From a woman's perspective...without being cruel like the guys suggest...try talking to your roommate first. Tell her it makes you uncomfortable. Then tell her if they do it again you'll do something to make them stop....like splashing them with cold water...that way you wont cause any damage but you'll get their attention. Good Luck!
