What a neat idea to offer deals to OR members! I'm in the market for a dual sport...I understand you guys work primarily with used bikes...I'm not too picky about the year or miles as long as it's in good running order etc. I'll check out the site and hopefully get back to you, but in the meantime if you have any suggestions I'm certainly wide open!

To each his own I suppose...seems crazy to ride without gear, let alone do any sort of stunt, but they're only hurting themselves. Wont catch me without some more gear on though

I'm in Columbus, so I'm not really far from anywhere...it's so nice that folks would just be willing to throw a passenger on their bikes...I'm always up for a good ride, even if it's just as a passenger...went out the other day and it was incredible!

Alright..so we're a scary motorcycle gang...I'm loving that so far I haven't experienced any of the "scary" side..suppose I should give it some time though. It's so nice to meet all of you, I certainly appreciate all the attention the thread is getting. I'm still learning with the smileys...but thanks for the link...I'm going to figure out where I can post pictures of my bike...I love checking out everyone else's rides. Not quite sure I understand the leghumper thing yet...but boys will be boys and, I'll admit, it's mildly flattering. Can't wait to check out the girls only forum too, though. Oh...and I don't quite understand the significance of it yet, but I already have something called Rep Power...cool...thanks to whoever gave me that! Looks Like A B-E-A-UTIFUL day for a ride!!

I know that I would personally benefit from something like that...that's a really sweet gesture...as far keeping them within OR...just make sure you're only sharing them with one from OR and that you'll get them back from that person...that way you can control who does and does not benefit from your generosity.

Oh, It's definately in the works...at this point it's just a matter of finding the best deal and the right bike for me...like I said..it's gotta be dual sport and fun and relatively cheap...that's the part I'm struggling with....the desire to get out and ride gets more powerful everyday though...I may just have to borrow someone ele's bike just so I can get out there are enjoy this weather!! suppose I oughta get that license first...lol...I'll have to be satisfied with being a street passenger for the time being...but not for long.... I'll keep an eye out for the bike night thread...thanks!

Sweet, well I definately can't wait to get out there are meet some fresh faces. I love the cages reference...great comparison...I never really understood what riding was all about until I actually did it, and I have to say, the feeling it creates is indescribeable!! The whole 'cage' thing makes so much more sense now that I've actually been on a bike! Well, hopefully someone will keep the thread updated so I know when I can make it out there!!

Well, that's not very nice...what on Earth could I possibly have done within my first few hours on the site to warrant that feeling? Should I not have called OR a "club"? If that's the case, please enlighten me...what would be a better term to use?

So, forgive my ignorance, but QS&L is Quaker Steak and Lube right? Also, I've heard about the legendary bike night, but have never been able to go...what's the protocol for going to a bike night...without your bike? I don't have my dual sport yet...so no street riding for me...is it acceptable to go without a bike to show off?

I'm having a siimilar issue...I have a TTR125, strictly a dirt bike, and I have a 3 year old, I need something to tow my bike but have the option to travel safely with my son and still be able to explore with the bike...good luck on your search! Try those auto trader magazines

I think you should go with black for several reasons...the first of which being that black is sexy...goes with anything...even if you decide to change gear...plus if you get a different bike, black will still go with it. Colors will, in my opinion, help you get noticed on the road, but a helmet isn't the first thing they'll watch for...are those your only two color options?

I hope that was directed at zerocrash and not me lol, that certainly wouldn't be the best way to get a woman's good side I'm digging this website though...I'll risk being super girly....but this is super fun!
