Off topic I know, but this is precisely why print media (and pay news) is going away. You need them 1 time in a year. I say good riddance print media.

Correct, you'll be hard pressed (pun) to find an electro touchscreen on much more than a smart phone (someone will find examples I'm sure).. I got the 780, there are VERY good deals on all the MSN Direct models because the service is being depracated in 2012 (still works without it, just no msn service).

Most GPS allow making maps ahead of time. With Garmin you use city navigator. Most others you can use GMaps and transfer it via USB.

I didn't get waterproof because if it's wet I'll put the GPs in my jacket pocket. Which reminds me, make sure you get one with TTS... a few low-end models still don't have street names.

Bluetooth (if you have a speaker in your helmet) or headphone jack is a must. Other than that, just get whatever The Zumos and Riders are WAY expensive, was too much for me.
