Well, I did go ahead and polish up the chamber, checked with the folks on XDTalk and the polishing is FAR within reasonable standards, doesn't take off almost any of the surface.

I hate to break it to you, but the law doesn't have a line that says "If the person is experienced they don't need a license plate"... Hey, drinking and driving is illegal, unless you're a really good drunk driver, in that case it's fine.

I'd echo what others have said. On the street, need a license plate. There's no excuses no harassment and no grey area. But just my opinion here

Have you called State8 by any chance? They have a ton of bikes and it seems any "unique" bikes go quickly there so they may buy it quick.
