i have replaced hard drives in past , this one is not old at all , and not giving signs of death , not fragging , no errors , no slow boots , etc and its water cooled , with the cpu cooler , smoked to many in past..... usually a failing hard drive skips at more intervals than just a Virus Scan. but i have a 2nd HD , i use to just to back up every so often. imo it has to be in the code , it skips a certain part of the disk , and also will not let fix - it defrag. can only use conventional windows defrag. maybe it is the drive, but its only a few months old , with wery low useage. 30 gig of used space and i never keep extra crap taking up un needed space.. i would chuck a new one in , just hate the reloads..... i use xp hate vista , and have reformatted enough to know windows will want me to call once again.

might go in the cage. to many bikes get stolen there.

i know alot about computers , but no programmer , i use kaspersky labs anti virus / firewall . the wife and my mother used cpu a few months ago and got a virus. prior to me using kaspersky , i used it to get rid of the virus ( i usually keep the comp pretty secure , they are safe net idiots). Lately when i run a scan i get a disk skip sound from the drive , sorta like when a HD is going bad.happens once of twice in a scan, i was wondering if anyone knew of a good free utility to check bios. or to make sure kaspersky labs is not missing anything , i have checked with hijack this , spy bot , ad aware and a few others . nothing is coming up . but i am pretty sure something is not rightr.

well there is the post on VanDy going to boston , i replied in it about a trip i made. just got me thinking about my old bikes. the trip i took i rode my Gixxer but being a broke Marine i was contemplating taking my 1989 TZR 250 ( 2 puffer) thinking it woulda saved some clams on fuel, being a 2 stroke i figured it would get me introuble trying to come across the nation , and everyone would laugh at me.So the Gixxer won out , RIDE and time frame. but i never took a pic of the old bike. so i went looking on google to just see if they were around .... I SOLD it for 200 bucks to another club racer. i only paid $ 400 , and mine was not streetable. 100 percent listed at $5800 on Craigslist...... /emote kick self in nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/mcy/890377840.html kick self again.

in 1995 or 1996 i had to come home on leave for a funeral , Yuma Arizona to Cleveland . total was 2315 or 2415 . riding 94 Gixxer 750. Being in desert for a few years i left with no warm jacket , was November. ALWAYS take a warm jacket, Tool Kit , flashlight , and M.R.E 's . was non stop , had no choice , funeral was in two days when i found out about death . did it in 26.5 hours WITHOUT a ticket. got pulled over twice , but no tickets. hit snow in indy , rode with feet down just about to columbus area , where i met my cousin to pick it up ... so only rode about 2300 on the bike.
