Friday could still be an option for riding. Sunday is looking almost as good temperature wise, and much better as far as sunny... high of 59. Could be avail. for Sunday, how about you. Friday or Sunday better?

Yeah, there's a few around here, just not sure I want to go that route. It's like everything else, they quit making it and all of sudden it's the greatest thing that ever was. They're cool, but......
-
I was being a smart ass, just a bit. My feeble attempt at trying to fit.

Are you getting one? I understand the floor plan/finance, but for having a bike on the floor all year vs. a month or so for $350.00, doesn't seem like much of a dif. The the sales guy said, " Oh yeah, by the way the little plastic cover that goes over the pass. seat is missing. You'd have to get that if you wanted it" A perfect indicator of the attitude you'll have to endure for any parts. If I bought a bike, you can bet the Dealer would have to find the missing part.

Are you really gonna take an aircooled sportser engine over that watercooled rotax just because of the paint scheme?
-
I called F&S in Dayton today. The one at $5160 was gone. They had 3 left choice of red or black for $5400 (1125CR) i asked why the price dif. I was told it had to do with how long the bikes had been in inventory. The cheaper ones had been there all year..... Didn't make sense

Hey, since they're calling for rain and I didn't see that til this morning, are you available tomorrow? sunny and 70. Text me and let me know I can't get on this at work. I'll PM the cell number.
-
Shitty, Who is they? Which dealer? Where did you buy it?
-
10? Crap why bother going in at all? Screw work let's ride. You said you like the long haulers.

I'm knocking on 25,000 on mine. Bought it off a buddy of mine 3 1/2 years ago at 6000. If you want the red one badly, go ahead, I can live with black. I wish I could find the 1125 in white w/ the blue rims, maybe that's only available on the XB? I got some decent ride time on an 1125R, freaking torque monster. You will be hard pressed to find anything that brakes better, wheelies easier and cuts a curve with predictable tracking, same for the XB, the rotax is a lot different power delivery.

Not sure on the meeting place, depends on where we ride. Xenia is an option since you live a ways away.
-
Which one? Damn rich boy, I can only afford one. I was just curious compared to my '99
-
Snooze you lose. I got your Biotch. How many miles you got on that copper scooter of yours?
-
Go red, orange makes you look like you're going deer hunting.
-
I wonder why the XB's are going a little higher than the 1125's? F&S in Dayton has a red 1125CR for $5160.00. I like the idea of a few more ponies and water cooling. I saw that full fairing body kit you posted. I though I read it only comes in black, no matter I have access to a full body shop.

I just looked at the Lake Erie Harley website. Is that the Avon dealer? ( Not familiar with the area) I saw that white XB listed, no pics though, cheesedicks. Did you say you got a price from them?

Here's a couple things I keep thinking about;
If you buy it you better love it, because it definitely qualifies for cult status already, meaning a limited niche market. Could be tough to sell.
This I know and do not assume. Getting a Harley Dealer to honor any warranty work? No way. ( Only about 1/2 the dealerships even employ a competent mechanic. I was standing next to my buddy 2 summers ago in the now defunct Aces and Eights HD, while he tried his best to get some warranty work honored there. The "mechanic" didn't know the name Jay Springsteen when I cracked a joke. HD guy? right. This particular XB12 had a serious electrical problem. Finally wound up writing the Corporation on the crappy service from 3 different shops. After riding it almost 2 years, wrecking it at the Gap and all around beating it to death, he got Harley to take it back for a full cash refund.( I thought that was pretty good.) He then bought an '08 1125R
Don't count on readily finding body parts, the motor especially the XB, no sweat

Let me look at my schedule at work, and take a peek at the weather. I'll contact you tomorrow. If I'm taking off work though, you gotta commit, 10/4?

Let me know. I told you I got some good roads in the southern part of the State. Although I don't know my way around KY. too well. I'm thinkin' about starting in Alexandria, running 10/22 back up the river to Greenup, Ky. then running 253 back to US52 to SR125. That's probably a 300+ miler.
The wife and i rode the Busa on a 425 mile route last summer in Ohio. She deserved a medal for that.

Doesn't really qualify as a scary/horroa flick, but I went and saw "Law Abiding Citizen" Friday night. Had enough gore in it to qualify for slightly left of center of sick for me. Wasn't super great, a little far fetched as far as the storyline, but worth seeing. They say that new Paranormal movie is pretty scary.

The ferry runs back and forth between Augusta, Ky. and US52, about 2 miles west of higginsport, roughly mp6?
Started in Wilmington, met Dan in Danville ( no kidding), out SR138 from Hillsboro, to Buford, SR134 south, SR32east, US62 south, to Ripley. US52 west, ferryride to Augusta. RT.19, a little of 10, US27 to Cythinana, backtrack to the ferry. SR125 west to SR774 in Hamersville. US68north, cut across a County RD. back to Buford, 134 to the house. 246.5 miles.

O.K. ,let me know. I was thinking about Thursday or Friday. Friday would be better.

O.K. I'm checking out this Buell insanity right now. I been contemplating buying a new ( to me ) bike, most of my friends are switching to the big twin Harleys. Never owned one but have rode several hundred miles on a couple different Harleys. But, I really wanted a new FJ1300, I love that bike. But the prices on these Buells are great, I'm looking. How much lead time do you need for a vaca. day from work?

Thanks, I been going back and forth for several weeks contemplating my next bike purchase. This situation has significantly complicated my decision.

No work, got the paperwork ready this morning for a re-fi on the house due to dropping interest rates, then about 200 miles on the bike. Down to Cincy, then up to Chillicothe, then back home. Saw a few sporties out there:D
