Gun porn of the ugly AK74
For $599? Not bad, wonder how the $650 ones look?
-
All gone but for the rear turn signal.
-
So you didn't get one of the nicer looking ones? I really like the AK but have had my sks so long it is just the best in my book and only gets fired a few times a year. :-( Maybe someday, last famous words of a procrastinator. lol

I know this thread is 4 years old, but I'm trying to find some info on trials events/bikes. Just looking to get into something different. Any helpful info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

that tenere is UGLY lol.. but cool ass bike.
ive been kicking around the idea of a CRF250L
You know that is what people said about the V-strom too. Lucky I am not someone who is worried about form over function. I want a bike that works not one that is nice to polish and show up at prom on. LOL
Great gravel road bike. Great on-road commuter. Not so much an off-road bike. I've been reading lots of reviews. There are much better bikes out there if you're wanting to do any trail riding. If you're looking to get lost in rural Ohio on some dirt/gravel roads then ride home it seems to be a sweet bike.
Actually I've seen them get pretty aggressive off road and go places I wouldn't on the Vstrom due to lower engine clearance. True it is no 950SE, but then I already have one of those. ;-)
Do you have the street tires for the 426 or just knobby's?
Just knobby's. Never intended to make it a street bike Like PonyJR did with his. As a street bike it's like riding a jet pack due to the explosive power. Besides 4 miles? Buy a schwin and save the gas.
-
How much are you going to be wanting for the 426? Got any pics?
Yes, here are some pictures. I have over $2000 in it with the enduro kit but it hardly ever get ridden so I don't even keep it registered or insured now. I just moved it to the barn and it started right up and flew around the yard for a few laps. I'd say if someone offered $1600 I'd take it.
Here it is at Crow Canyon (blueberry with pumpkin on top). LOL
here are some with it all cleaned up.
But mostly the 426 had to go to the barn to make room for this.

I SO want to ride a Super Tenere to see if I'll like it as much as I think I will.
Well, I'm lucky enough to have several friends with them. So I had a chance to ride one for 21 miles or so. Very nice and a good feel. I'm tall so the big bikes speak to me.
-
Well, I guess I'm getting serious about trading the Dl1000 in on a Super Tenre. That also means I want to sell the 426 as I just don't ride it anymore. It's plated and street titled but is a straight MX motorcycle. Finding someone crazy enough or good enough to really ride it just takes so much time. But that would take me down to an S10, 950SE and KLR650 mudder.
-
You spend too much time on ADVrider.....hate that damn forum.
It has the mud and dirt this forum really lacks. LOL ;-)
-
Last ride a friend put together. No single track. KLR friendly.
Do you want single track? I don't seem to make it on here that much anymore so email or call me if you want some help getting something together.
-
Posting up because I can. LOL
-
Sorry, I was unaware you were down there Brian.
Have you ever been to Richland furnace? It's not far from there.
I've been to the Richland Furnace you can't ride anymore and the state ORV area. I haunted that area since 05 and know it pretty well.
-
Yeah, a lot of good riding down near McArthur, Ohio both on and off road.
-
Big, old, clunky and slow.... but am I describing the bikes or the guys riding them.

Anyone still hard up for .22 ammo? Cabelas had bricks for $22. Not just one or two either but a big supply of CCI which I think was $25 and thunderbolts for $22 which was what I got along with 250 count 9mm 115 grain and 40S&W 155 grain bullets for reloading. I think it's part of their fall sale they are doing now.
-
It was just going to be pistol use or .22 rifle at 100+ yards.
I find that over 1/4 inch plates that move are reasonably good for .22 rifles. None of mine are fixed . Only AR500 should be used for fixed plates IMHO.

So It's been a while since I been around. Too many hobbies. One of those has been making homemade shooting targets for the range out back. So I thought I'd share some I've done so others can make there own if they want.
Hope everyone is having a great summer and I get time to come back soon.

Seems like the 22LR has dried up again everywhere I go. Must be another big military 22LR order the ammo manufacturers are trying to fill. LOL
