  1. Damn wish I knew who you were we could have chatted, I was lucky enough to get the .22 case and then picked up a case of the .45 for a buddy and some other ammo but other than the .22's and the .45's I would not say I got much of a deal but I am restocked. :broke:

Now you tell me. I called up about 9am and they said they still had a large stock of 100 count 9mm ammo, but when I got there at 11am it was long gone. I told one of the sales people about this and was told, "We had no way to expect that people would buy it all out so fast. We have more on the way for Saturday. I say screw them. It's a 100 mile round trip for me and I get told so sorry? :nono:

  2. All the ammo will probably be gone Saturday, Stoped in there today, Ammo prices are high, had a lot of guns, no black guns though!

yeah, I've been working nearby and stopped in there today. Best price was 600 rnds 40 cal for $240. Stuff on the shelves was priced VERY high.:(

Gun prices were also very high. They wanted $420 for the same Ruger MKIII I bought for $320 in Vandallia.

  3. I keep saying if someone opens a range in the Dayton mall area they would make bank.... The only one close to there is sim trainer off of Dryden in south Dayton and that's a members only place. My wife and I aren't about to throw down $300 a year to go to a gun range.

What about Vandalia Armory? They have indoor ranges.;)

  4. Miami Valley shooting range in Springfield, formerly Longenhorner, has become my favorite refuge for winter shooting. Friend and I celebrated my birthday there and for the cost of one lane for two people and two full size targets ($22) we shot for almost 2 hours and had a blast. Plus I like the decor of the inside.

I was having a lot of fun with the new MKIII .22 pistol doing fast head shots :)

Every time we go there the place is almost empty so I hope it stays open for next winter when the frozen death returns and using the back yard isn't an option.:o

  5. $470ish at New Albany. They generally are high.

You payed $470 and you're calling them high? Never owned a CZ but they ran a lot less than that just a few months ago. Well, everything ran less a few months ago but I recall seeing CZ's in the $200's last fall.

  6. Swing, at this point I'd go with the one I could find and costs the least. ;)

With the nice weather I decided to pull out the M44 and fire off some rounds at 100+ yards. I couldn't help but think about the recent gun law in New York and the desires of antis to ban certain weapons. It all makes no sense to an experienced shooter and responsible owner. Why can't they see that banning guns for features or the way they look is like banning cars because they are crashed more often and have distracting features in them or bright colors? Oh well, if you don't enjoy my musings I hope you enjoy the firing of an old favorite. :egrin:

  7. Took my wife to the range for the first time. She shot the M&P 22 a few times and then the 9mm. She was way more excited about the 9mm. Lol

All in all a good Sunday.

My shooting friend (Lisa) has a M&P22. Really fun little gun and lead me to purchase a Mark III for my own cheap shooter. Haven't shot it a bunch but so far I really like it. Want to change out the front sight and Lisa wants to do the same on her M&P. May try painting the front site first but I thing a fiber optic will be the ultimate choice.:D

  8. Why would you sell your bike just because some dudes on a forum are dickheads?

Sounds like someone bought a bike just to fit in with the cool kids.

    He should buy a Harley.

Is he had a Harley then folks would know he's a fag.

  9. Picked this up today

Funny part is I was seeing .22LR ammo almost everywhere before I got it but today everyone was sold out. My last stop was at a Walmart in Springfield and of course no .22LR ammo at all! But they had one Federal 9mm box with 100 rounds and about 10 (50 count) 9mm boxes. Of course they have a two box limit per customer so I got one of each.

I got home and it took an hour to disassemble, clean and reassemble the MK3 before firing it. But it seemed to do well for the 30 rounds I did get thru it. :)
